A Wearle of dragons set out on an expedition from their home planet and was never heard from again. Now, a new Wearle, determined to find the first, has come to the place its creatures call Erth. Gabrial, who still has the blue scales of a young dragon, is eager to prove himself, and to find his missing father. But when Gabrial causes an accident that results in a baby dragon going missing, he'll have to prove himself worthy of remaining with the Wearle at all.

Across the scorch line, most Hom, or humans, live in fear of the dragons. But a boy named Ren is too fascinated to stay away, and will soon find his fate intertwined with that of the dragons. When conflict erupts between the dragons and humankind, Ren does the unimaginable, crossing into dragon territory. Will he be able to gain the dragons' trust and prevent an all-out war?

NYT bestseller Chris d'Lacey sweeps readers off on an extraordinary adventure bursting with majestic creatures and one boy with the heart of a dragon.

The story was amazing but maybe you can find a way to connect us to the story a little? Like maybe you can find a way to express the emotions of the characters a little more often because sometimes it seems like im missing somthing but that could just be me . Other then that its awesome!

So first off I did not realize the this book was by Chris d'Lacey and I kept thinking of the last dragon chronicles ... It wasn't untill the authors note that I realized this book was by the author of the last dragon chronicles :P Now about the book welp it was really well written and had me in my head imagining the scenes and dragons and everything and well I just thought the book was amazing and it never ceased to surprise me. So Chris d'Lacey keep up the good work man cause I'm running out of good books about dragon and you never seem to cease to supply some. Also if anyone's looking for some good books involving dragons hear are some suggestions; The Inheritance Cycle (Book 1 Eragon), The Last Dragon Cronicles (Book 1 The Fire Within), The Wings Of Fire (Book 1 The draggonett Prophecy (soon to be 10 books total for those who like long seriese)), and now my tablet won't let me see what I type so I'ma gonna have to end here so yah
