USA Today Bestselling author

Who doesn't love the romance of the old West? Vanessa Vale takes the sensual appeal of rugged cowboys a step further with her bestselling books set in the Montana Territory. They are much more than just sexy historical westerns. They're deliciously naughty reads that sometimes push the boundaries of fantasy. It's pure escapism with quite a few very hot, very alpha cowboys.

When she's not writing, Vanessa savors the insanity of raising two boys, is figuring out how many meals she can make with a pressure cooker, and teaches a pretty mean karate class. She considers herself to be remarkably normal, exceedingly introverted and fairly vanilla, which does not explain her steamy stories and her fascination with cowboys, preferably more than one at a time.

She lives in the Wild Wild West where there's an endless source of 'research' material.

Vanessa Vale's "Their Reluctant Bride" is the sixth tale in the Bridgewater Menage series. I've read other books in the series, and it is not necessary to read them in order. I like this one - it's a little different since Emily's a little more experienced than the gals usually are in these tales. I love the two different feels of Xander and Tyler. The dark and the light! Sexy as always! Just a couple more for me to read in this series now!

*A copy of this book was provided by the author or publisher in exchange for an honest review* I Don't know what I can say about Vanessa Vale's Bridgewater Menage Series. Their Reluctant Bride is the 2nd of this series, but the 7th total of her books. Believe me, I want more time!! It makes me curious that these are stories set in the Old West, with the big old cattle or horse ranches, and boundaries are everything; and in every story, they explore and push every boundary they find. Too much thought? Maybe, but her books are that good. Her writing pulls you in, and the story she weaves just keeps you there.

Emily is not your typical virgin bride because she is a widow but she is definitely reluctant. She is reluctant to marry again because her first husband was a drunk and a gambler who abused her and left her penniless and homeless. Tyler and Xander are opposites in many ways but they are of the same mind when it comes to Emily. They both want Emily as their wife and will protect and love her with everything they have. We watch the dynamics of this trio balance out each other with Tyler's laid back ways and Xander's demand for control and Emily who brings them together. This series just seems to get better with each installment! **Received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review**

What an enticingly descriptive tale! I enjoyed how this was not only an erotically charged and explicit tale, but also how the real relationship between the characters was developed. It was so much more than simply erotica. The dose of suspense on the side increased the action and intensity factor as well. I couldn’t look away. Vale’s novella is 2ell written and edited. The plot was well thought out. This novella was a complete story in and of itself that was next to impossible to put down. The multiple POVs gave a well-rounded view of the relationship, kicking up the heat another notch. Emily’s situation broke my heart. Regardless of the historical correctness of her first marriage, no one should have to live through that. Her strength and loyalty shone through regardless, showing her endless strength of character. Xander’s alpha control shines throughout, making it easy to fall under his spell, while Tyler’s subtle insecurities were so endearing that I couldn’t help falling for him. Is this a ‘new to me’ author that I’ll be watching avidly for more releases? You can bet your last dollar on it! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

An exciting new book by Vanessa Vale. I was first introduced to the concept of ménage by this author. She told the story beautifully & tho' initially I had reservations if, I would like such a novel by the time I finished the book she had won me over. Since then I have read almost all of Vale's books. Likewise, this book did not disappoint. As in her other novels she still has got what it takes & crafts a beautiful romance from seemingly mundane & some might even say shocking lifestyle choices. There is a sweetness that runs thru' the entire novel leaving the reader feeling exhilarated & content. When I first spied this book, I had my reservations wondering if it would seem repetitive, as this is a ménage tale yet once again, Vale has not let her readers down. It was exciting from start to finish as Vale subtly explores the various emotions felt by the characters in the time period. I do not wish to be a spoiler here & give the tale away. However, I will add that despite being part of a series it can be read as a standalone & it is not difficult to understand the other characters that are included. The Bridgewater men are endearing gentlemen & I sure would like to bump into some of them. However, until then I guess Vales novels will have to do. Way to go Vale!

I was given an advance copy in exchange of an honest review... This is a historical fiction. It is also a menage BDSM fiction. If you are not comfortable with those elements I would suggest you not read this book. It is very well written. Emily Woodhouse was widowed. Her late husband was a gambler and a drunk, he will not be missed. The bank is going to take her house and everything she has for his gambling debits. Emily needs to re-marry. Bridgwater is known for having poly marriages. Her friend has arranged for her to meet a set of men that might be interested in marrying her. Tyler and Xander have been friends for years as close as brothers. Emily has secrets to protect and the men think they do as well. As they grow closer and the intimacy unfolds the secrets are reveled. Does it bring them closer as a family or will it tear them apart?
