Clever story with a twist on Christmas the end of the story leaves the kids amazed that santa is the one that appears ready to give all the presents out.I have read this story to my students and they love it . They like the fact that it repeats a pattern that they are able to follow after the first two pages so they repeat with me and are able to participate int the reading.

I use this book to entertain a group of preschool children between the ages of 2 and 5. They all sat and listened and asked to hear it multiple times.

My 7 yr old has all of the "There was an Old Lady" books. As soon as there is a new one out he wants to buy it. This is a cute book for any age and fun!

Even though lack of originality (with similar layout as the caldecott book "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" by Simms Taback), it seems that doesn't matter much to my daughter. She just loves it, with the CD playing all the time.

This story is a take off of the familar tale of "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly." It is suitable for the Christmas season, especially for reading to small children who are familar with the 'Fly' version. Cute! Great for circle reading or group reading where children can be a part of telling the story.
