About the Author

Chögyam Trungpa (1940–1987)—meditation master, teacher, and artist—founded Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, the first Buddhist-inspired university in North America; the Shambhala Training program; and an international association of meditation centers known as Shambhala International. He is the author of numerous books including Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior, Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism, and The Myth of Freedom.

Shaded with depression pink.

How beautiful to be in the realm of nonexistence:

When you dissolve, the dot dissolves;

When you open up, clear space opens.

Let us dissolve in the realm of passion,

Which is feared by the theologians and lawmakers.

Pluck,
pluck, pluck, pluck the wild flower.

It is not so much of orgasm,

But it is a simple gesture,

To realize fresh mountain air that includes the innocence of a wild flower.
