This is a great book of local interest about a horrific murder, but will also be of interest to anyone.  The book is  perfect to sit down and read in an evening or afternoon.  The author takes you on the journey of not only the  investigation for the time period, the real people involved but also on the method of travel and how fast this  case went to trial.  It takes you down the sad road of mental illness ending in murder, something that   happened in 1897 but is still very much a part of our lives today.  Looking forward to more books from Rod Sadler.
