From the moment you start listening to this latest by Lisa Gardner, you're hooked. For starters, the Denbe family is kidnapped by three mercenaries. The father, Justin, is head of a multimillion-dollar construction company, which hires Tesse Leone—a character from Gardner's previous LOVE YOU MORE—to find them. From there, the plot really takes off—twisting and turning while suspects abound. There's also the question about who hired the men to kidnap the family. Each of the three victims has his or her own story, and narrator Elisabeth Rodgers has her own way of telling each one. Her portrayal of Libby, the kidnapped wife, is especially strong.
