Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass Series #6) by Sarah J. Maas

In the next installment of the New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series, follow Chaol on his sweeping journey to a distant empire.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica--the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both--and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.

These books are fantastic. I've read thousands of books in all genres and these instantly became one of my favorite of all time. The characters are deep. The story is thrilling and addictive with shocking revelations around each turn. This would draw audiences of all ages to the big screen if it's done right. I hope I get to see it happen someday.

Amazing! I have loved every book I this series and this is no different. Found myself laughing and crying and smiling and heart pumping fast. Love how she focuses each book on a story of the characters and. Introduces new one and magically weaves all of their storylines together. A truly gifted story-teller.

This book is a MUST READ for all "Throne of Glass" fans!! Such a wonderful, cohesive story that binds all of the previous books together and leaves you SCREAMING in dire need for the next and final book! Chaol and Yrene carried this book to beautifully with their individual story lines as the cloud of war thickens around them! New, rich characters are also introduced which makes me even more intrigued to see how they will all fit in the finale of this wonderful, epic series!!!

It was interesting but Sarah could have quickly input the part about Maeve and the princess into the book it would have been like three pages. I thought the book was cute and ok. This book was not good enough to be book six in the series. Sarah put some much work and effort into the novel I just feel like this was a big let down. Took me two weeks to finish. Takes me two days to finish the others.

Some how I became entangled in this epic saga and realize there is no escape until the last bell is rung until the last peal of magic has drifted away like early morning dew under the loving caress of the sun. Well done...very well done. The hurry up and wait pacing takes some getting used to; but once the pacing is internalize--wow. I read 184 pages and could have sworn I' read over 300 hundred. The amount of detail, evoking image after image was simply mesmerizing. Then pages of description leading you to an another level of understanding the characters or the history of a people. Then back to action so vivid the reader is right their on the pages...their fears and joy now ours. I'm currently reading both series and will continue to read each and every book Maas gives birth to. What a talent!

This was just wonderful. The beginning was slow paced but it was due to this new world building. The story was great, filled in a lot of the gaps and provided further insight into this world. We saw a beloved character and a new group and they were all wonderful! SJM did a wonderful job and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So happy this came out.

It was amazing, the little twist and turns that happens in the previous books all leading up to this great big reveal! So many things in the story will just make you shake your head and gasp. If you haven't read it yet, do so, it's totally worth it. The only sad part is that we have to wait till the next (and final) book comes out next year.

I love all the books in both of Sarah Maas' series. I didn't think this one would be as good as the others at first, but it was a worthwhile read, an epic tale of love and healing continuing to reveal and tie in elements from the previous books. As I dislike spoilers, I will not give any and will just say that I read this book in two days and it held my interest the entire time. I am sad to have to wait until 2018 for the next book to be released. Love this series!!!

There's many TOG readers who hated Chaol. I was never one of them. I thought he was the most human and relatable characters. Yes he's hot-tempered but i guess I like that about him cuz I am too. Given the circumstances he was put in, I'd think most people would react the same way he did. That said, I'm so glad Chaol got his time in the sun and we got to see more of Nesryn's personality. The beginning was pretty slow and was at times frustrating but it starts to build and the drama unfolds. Sarah J Maas has this way where she ends chapters with cliffhangers that drive you mad but in such a delightful way. One chapter became 7, 8, 10 chapters later. Yrene Towers is revisited and I'm loving her no-nonsense sassy vibes. A lot of the new characers introduced are worthy to note: Sartaq, Borte, Hasar, Falkan & Houlun. Each were significant and in the short amount of time given with this one book, yhe chatacter builds were fantastic. I'd give this book a 4.5/5 stars. I can't wait for the final book!

Wow... must read!! Take it from me. Going into this I was (1) Not a big fan of Chaol in the other books and (2) A bit annoyed we weren't getting the final installment of TOG. But I'm a fan of SJM's work an decided to give it a try. Can honestly say this book blew me away... so much better than expected. Don't want to give away any spoilers but you gotta read this book before the TOG series ends!! And kudos to SJM for writing a book centered around people of color!! #melaninpoppin

This series is incredibly well thought out, emotionally gripping, and just an all out delight to read. The characters are robust, and have such an amazing depth, making you care so much about them. This story is immersive, creative, and continues the saga seamlessly. I absolutely cannot wait for more!

I was reluctant to read a book about Chaol, and, admittedly there is little action (due to pending events), but it's absolutely necessary to read this side story to fully understand the progression of the main story line. Now if October could hurry up and get here, I could finally rest easy at night. Lol
