True to His Colors (Illustrated)

True to His Colors is the first in the six-volume Civil War series. Marcy Gray is a North Carolina youth and Union hero who tries to be "true to the old Union flag" by contributing to the Union's efforts against the Confederacy. Marcy finds few opportunities until he makes an exciting and dangerous voyage with the Osprey under Captain Beardsley, a privateer who scours the U.S. coast in search of Confederate goods and treasure.
