There's not one thing not to like about this story and everything to like about it! A little over 200 pages on my Nook, characters you can't help but like, a storyline with some ups and downs and a nice love story trying to rise to the surface. A good read, plan to read more by this author. I must say I appreciated how well written and edited this book was unlike so many that are not. This author definitely knows how to spell, knows correct grammer and knows how to spin a tale!

Lauren Giordano wrote a great story. It did not follow the formula of most romances. This is a story about trust. It was better than the poor editing. It is not a cliffhanger. I recommend this story.

Great book. Good story line. And the sex parts were not pornographic in description. Nicely written. Will definitely read this authors books again

Life was not easy for Jenna. Not only did her cheating husband die leaving her a widow, but she had been fired from her job at a construction design firm because of false rumours about her sleeping around. She wanted a new start so she changed her name, moved to a new town with her children, and kept wearing her wedding ring. Things were going well for her until her old car broke down on the way to a job interview. But being rescued by Jake turned out to be a good thing since he was an owner in Specialty, one of the design firms Jenna planned on applying to. She couldn’t believe her luck when he offered her a job as his assistant. They worked well together and were a good team. Everything was going great until she fell in love with him. This was a problem because he believed she was married. This was a well-written emotional book that I really enjoyed. However, I did find it tiring that Jenna kept thinking that she should tell Jake the truth but never did. That went on too long. Even so, this was a good book with likeable characters.

Jenna is afraid. She put her life, trust and heart in the hands of the wrong man and ended up lonely, abused and miserable. Now on her own with two children to look after, she can't afford to make another bad judgement. She just wants to feel safe, loved and happy. Not worried all the time. An act of kindness, finds her questioning everything she believes. Jake is a gift she never expected to find but her past has made her cautious. I received a copy of Trusting Jake by Lauren Giordano is exchange for an honest review. Jenna was a courageous woman determined to succeed in a man's world. Anyone who follows my reviews knows that strong female characters appeal to me. Ms. Giordano created in Jenna a woman who was brave enough to start over and make her own way after heartache and disappointment. I find inspiration in that.

GJRA. I loved this 216 page romance. Jake is awesome, loved all the characters except the ones in Baltimore. I agree completely with Dec 17, 2017 comments. GJRA

I loved the family dynamic in this book. The characters are all very individual but you can tell they are also connected by their past. I'll definitely read the rest of this series.

A very lovely story. Love how all the issues get resolved. Wasn’t predictable like other books. Really enjoyed the read.

Every scene except the last 2 were driven by angst, which doesn't make an enjoyable read for me. I was skimming towards the end, and that was enough to keep up since you could see exactly how the story would unfold.

I didn't find this book interesting and didn't finish it. Also didn't like that the heroine told such a big lie for no good reason.

For the most part the book was enjoyable , but the female character was to insecure and I just found her annoying . I will try this author again to see if it's better .

Thought it dragged in the middle. Ended well, but I kind of got tired of the main characters stumbling over their words. I know it was supposed to convey a natural conversation, but it got old.

What a poor story premise. She lives in fear that someone will find out that she has been sexually harassed and then lies to cover it up. The book is full of repetitive angst about all of her lies. Stupid.
