So I’ve read book one and two. And I understand this is book six, but I don’t feel like I’ve missed anything. Everyone is still dealing with everyone and the drama it brings. Evan has been promoted and his relationship with Matt is suffering because of it. Casper is starting to in-crouch on Evan. Matt see it, Evan doesn’t,yet! Second story, Griffin and Jim also on rocky ground. Griffin finishing up a film, heads home and finds Jim investigating a case that should have been laid to rest years ago. When Griffin finds out, he puts a hold on the wedding plans. Third story, Daisy and Drake. At first we thought they were fine, then Drake is accused of cheating. And his office is trashed. In one word, long. Okay, two words, whiny. I really enjoyed books one and two when I read then years ago. So when the audio popped up I was excited, now I remember the books being long, super novels. But enough to hold your interest. This one, in my opinion is not like that. You’ve got three different lives/stories going on. But are connected in the sub stories and agenda. The biggest problem this is creating is too many charters, just with the three stories you’ve got around ten to twelve charaters that are important enough you have to keep track of. And all of them are in drama, crisis mode. No one is happy, except the toddler. And no one (couple) is really spending any quality time with each other for me to feel a deep loving connection. (sure they are having sex) Maybe we are past that, since we are talking about a wedding and kids soccer practice, but I completely understand where Matt is coming from. I do like that we are still trying to stop a killer. And that the second story is tied to that resolution and it’s happiness. Maybe I would have been better reading this one, like I did books one and two. The narrator, Ron Herczig my first time listening to him. And his voice was great, strong. But wrong for this. It was hard to distinguish from each voice including the female voices. Book 3 Narrator 3 Over all 3 I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review by Crystals Many reviews
