About the Author

Michael Sawaya is a veteran courtroom lawyer, honored as one of Colorado’s Super Lawyers and one of Denver’s prominent Civic Leaders. He started his law practice in 1975.

Meeting with him is like stepping into a tapestry of the past. His offices are rich with old world charm and deep oak wood trim. Huge pocket doors built from craftsman long gone, taking their art with them, and geodes and crystals tucked between legal briefs and books of his trade.
