Twelve Great Questions about Christ.
A brilliant, easy-to-read apologetic of the historic Christian faith, originally published in 1923. Dr. Macartney shows that true Christians have always had full confidence in Holy Scripture's divine revelation of Christ in relation to His: Virgin Birth, Fulfillment of Old Testament Prophecy, unique Teachings, Miracle-Working power, Deity, substitutionary Atonement, bodily Resurrection, literal Ascension and Return, being faithfully represented by the Apostle Paul. — Macartney refutes the destructive Bible critics of theological Liberalism and Modernism which was on full display in the Protestant churches and denominations by the early 1920's, which presents "another Jesus" different from the New Testament. He clearly shows that the unbelief of the "modern mind" is no different from that which sought to tear down, redefine, redirect, change and destroy historical biblical Christianity from its earliest beginnings. The foes of Christ continue to rise within the professing church and need to be recognized, opposed and exposed as contrary to the Christ of the Bible.

About the Author

Rev. Clarence E. Macartney, D.D., was a Presbyterian minister and graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary in the days of B. B. Warfield, Francis Patton and Robert Dick Wilson. He served as pastor of 3 congregations from 1905-1957, most of those years in Pennsylvania (Philadelphia and Pittsburgh). His sermons (especially biographical) and vigorous writings were widespread during his lifetime, and are still often consulted today as models of preaching material and style. He was a leader in maintaining the message of the historic Christian faith with its emphasis on faithfulness to the total inspiration and reliability of Holy Scripture. He vigorously opposed the theological Liberalism and Modernist movements of the latter 19th and 20th centuries.
