*I received this book from the publisher via Netgalley for an honest review. I’m a busy working mom so the title and description of this book drew me right in. In the midst of it all I could still get in some me time with God. I picked up this digital copy several different times because I really wanted to like it. Maybe it was because I was reading a pre-published version but I felt like the organization of my version was hindering the process for me. There is no real explanation on how to use the book in the introduction. At first, the introduction made me think we’d methodically read through each chapter in order according to the date we were beginning but that didn’t happen. Each day, from what I could tell, is divided by a bar on the page. Then we see a brief bible quote followed by the author’s interpretation. That is followed by a bold capital “R”, another quote, some interpretations, questions and related readings. Nowhere was the capital “R” explained. The quotes, modern day interpretations, and questions were thought provoking. I’m hoping that the final version will be more user friendly. I might check out the paperback version!
