This is a second chance romance, friends in high school who never acted on their feelings meet up years later but he has a girlfriend and they have just become business partners, will their timing ever be right to follow their hearts...... Aaric Christos is everything you could ever want in a man he is sexy, powerful, totally alpha and very possessive of what he believes is his. Bryn is a strong, sassy woman who needs to find the strength to resist the man she fell in love with all those years ago, will her heart or her mind win this time around. I have given this book four stars because I love the characters and the storyline but I think I must have missed something along the way because I'm confused about how we got to the ending, I think this is one of those books that becomes clearer second time around. Katy Evans is one of my favourite authors and I will be re reading Tycoon.

AudioBook Review: Stars: Overall 4 Narration 5 Story 4 I’m a sucker for all things Katy Evans: her romances are always solid, complete with fully developed characters, plenty of tension and angst and just enough spice to make you need that cold drink. These stand-alone titles introduce us to determined and deliciously engaging stories, presenting plenty of heat, heart and intrigue: perfect for that escape that is so desperately needed. Bryn and Aaric (Christos) grew up in the same town, both incredibly aware of one another. While both were concentrating on getting out of that town, Bryn was also struggling with her attraction to him, and denying that attraction. Now, several years later Christos is a rich, ruthless, on top of the game businessman with hordes of people to do his bidding and one small score to settle. Bryn has a wonderful idea, a burgeoning business that she built from the ground up and needs a financial infusion to go to the next step. Unfortunately, the money she needs is on offer, with strings, from one Aaric Christos, the boy she desperately tried to ignore and put off in high school. As a condition to receiving the money she needs, Bryn’s entire life will be scrutinized, from simple moments to the more complex. In short, Christos has never forgotten, nor forgiven her studied avoidance of him when they were younger, and he’s desperate to find out the why, and if there is anything to the attraction he holds for her. Slowly the two battle over memories, fight attraction and dance about their connection that grows deeper and deeper – full of heart, heat, angst and questions as even the listener wonders if these two should just ‘get on with it already’. Narration for this story is provided by Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York, and they perfectly inhabit the persona of the characters. Louise as Bryn has that young-ish tone to her voice, the occasionally slips into hesitancy as Bryn questions herself and her ability to move her company forward while battling the attraction to Christos. Sebastian York is a favorite of mine as he completely gets each character, slipping into the lost little boy of Christos, with the walls to protect his tender underbelly built high and thick. Each moment that calls for overtly displayed emotion is clearly presented, but it’s the nuances in both performances that keep that delicious tension, pulling you in and making you squirm as the questions and action move fast and furiously. With secondary characters that pass through and add a nice juxtaposition to the interior monologues and battles between Bryn and Christos, the story keeps you engaged and entertained. And, has me looking forward to Bryn’s friend, Sara and her own story. I received an AudioBook copy of the title from Simon and Schuster Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Another amazing book by Katy Evans! Brynn Kelly moved to New York six months ago so she could pursue her dreams. She has a business idea and needs someone to believe and invest in it. After being reject several times, she finally decides to reach out to an old friend, Aaric Christos, a real estate tycoon. But Aaric isn't the same boy she knew and had deep feelings for. Although he accepts to help Brynn, Aaric makes Brynn work hard to develop her business. As they spend long hours together, their friendship returns. But when suppressed feelings come to the surface, will they venture on pursuing them? Or will they do their best to keep their relationship strictly professional? I loved Tycoon! The story pulled me in from the first page and I couldn't stop reading. There's drama, laughter, and sexy scenes. It has everything a great romance must have. Brynn has been through a lot and suffered several losses. But she keeps fighting for what she wants. She's a very strong woman. Aaric comes from a modest background and worked hard to be where he is. He's a fighter and knows what he wants. But he can be very sweet and charming. Once again, Katy Evans gives us an amazing book, with a fantastic story and awesome characters. I can't wait to read more!

Wow.........just wow! This book had me hooked from the beginning that I devoured every page not realizing I completed it in a day. Katy's words are perfection but would you expect anything less from such an amazing author. Aarick and Bryn will pull you in with their heartbreakingly beautiful story and show you that love is worth a second chance. Just a warning, the extreme chemistry and heat between these two characters is sexy as sin and off the charts hot as hell! Hands down a must read and now looking forward to the next book!

Another absolutely awesome book by Katy Evans. She pulls us into a love story between two soul mates that met too early in life to be together. When a chance meeting years later grants them the opportunity to connect again finally, they are torn apart once again by the one thing that Aaric Christos has wanted his entire life. He's forced to choose between the love of his life or the family or his dreams. Which choice would he make? Does he have a choice? Should it be a choice? Christos and Bryn heat up the pages of this book when they finally do come together. Katy keeps us on the edge of our seat feeling the sexual tension, regret and dispair Aaric & Bryn are facing being around each other again, but explodes into the heated passion Katy is always able to bring to a story. I also loved the alternating storyline going back in the future and staying in the present to help understand their situation. Another great story not to be missed.

If you are looking for a new book boyfriend, look no further Aaric Christos is here. Bryn is beautiful and strong, looking for help to start her new business. I enjoyed seeing this story unfold between Christos and Bryn there was super hot scenes, drama and love. I highly recommend adding this book on your tbr list, it is well worth the read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Sometimes things happen for a reason. What would have happened if he never left. Would he be where he is today. Because of tragedy Bryn has a hard time with trust. She has lost everyone she ever loved. She is afraid to give her heart for fear of having it broken. She has a dream now to open her own company but she needs a backer. She somehow gets a meeting with Christos. Her first meeting g doesn't go so well. But she doesn't give up. If there was anyone that she would finally trust it's Christos. When he left her all those years ago she kept part of him that he never could give to anyone else. He never forgot her or how he felt about her. He became wealthy, and powerful but never gave himself to another. Even his current relationship with Miranda is lacking something. It's more like a business transaction than a love match. But when Bryn comes back into his life he realizes he cannot live without that love he had for a run and he cannot live without her. I love how Katy Evans made their relationship grow and for their trust to build again. They were no longer the teenagers of years ago . They truly loved each other and were so good together. They were business partners and also partners of the heart. In business Christos was a risk taker but he saw potential in Bryn and wanted to make it happen. In the end the biggest risk was giving her his heart and expecting her to give him hers.

Once again Katy Evans has brought us an awesome story with a strong hero and heroine. I fell so hard for Aaric and Bryn. This is a second chance romance that has me eagerly turning the pages. I couldn't put it down. Aaric Christos and Bryn knew each other in high school, but when his mom died, he moved away. Bryn had always wondered what if. Now, they are getting another chance to see if this is their time. Bryn and Aaric have both lost most of their family and it has shaped who they have become as adults. Aaric looks at relationships as part of a business deal and Bryn is scared to let anyone in since she may lose them. Both have overcome a lot of personal pain to get to the places they are in their lives. I love that Bryn has moved to NY and is ready to start this new business and won't take no for an answer. Aaric is a tycoon who won't be pushed around unless it's by his "bit". I love these characters and the connection they have. My heart bled for them at what they faced and the choices that had to be made. It was a great read!

Wow! This was angsty! I was hooked on this book from the first page and couldn't put this one down. This book stayed with me for days after reading - I couldn't stop thinking about it. Even with all the angst, this was a sweet and sexy romance. This couple had amazing chemistry. They frustrated me at times and there were decisions they both made that upset me but I still was hoping they would get together and make it work. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for Sarah's book!

Sooooo boring. The concept was good. The execusion poorly written. Lacked details and depth. Characters seemed childish and annoying. Christos wasnt manly enough, Bryn wad weak and scattered. Things were too repetitive and corny. Had to FORCE myself to finish this book bc I didnt want to waste my money. I really did look forward to the rest of books by this author but I dont want to risk wasting more money. For those who loved it, probably havent read steamy erotic books. These intimacy between Christos and Bryn was bland and again BORING! **THIS IS MY FIRST REVIEW EVER! AFTER READING WELL OVER 100 BOOKS ON MY NOOK! I JUST HAD TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS NOVEL.

TYCOON was another start to what I’m sure will be another hit series for Ms. Evans. I loved the chemistry between Bryn and Aaric and loved her even more for never giving up on what she wanted. Determined to get start up capital for her business, she reaches out to an old friend, Aaric Christos. TYCOON has good characters and a good story, I just wanted more from the ending.

Found myself skipping along. Story was missing details. Odd situations. She follows him into sauna? Who does that? And then is heading out for night on the town.

4/5 STARS Ok First thing first: THE.COVER. Without a doubt, my favorite so far this year. Absolutely amazing. Back to the book. Second chance love... Nothing original here, but this is Katy Evans, so I thought, “it just cannot be awesome!!” And I was right!! I devoured the book during my weekend, and yes, it was so, so good… Being a fan of Katy Evans, I knew this would be AGAIN the perfect mix of drama, angst, passion and humor too. The author really has talent to describe feelings. There were so many lines to pick! Christos is all Alpha, ad Bryn really strong ad brave. I loved the double POV, the flashbacks, I swooned, cursed, and felt so hot too, I just love this author… I just couldn’t help re-reading the last chapters; I just wasn’t ready to leave this couple. The only “but” would be the lack of “Epilogue”, but reading the Acknowledgments I guess AD HOPE we’ll get some hints of Christos ad Bryn in a near future. However, even without a real “Epilogue”, the last line was just perfect. You have to read this book!

In "Tycoon" the Hero and Heroine's lives are paved with "whys" and "what ifs" and the journey's sexy, and challenging. The hero, Aaric (pronounced like Eric but with a double A) Christos, a struggling, ambitious, workaholic teen in Austin, TX. After his mother died he and his brother moved away forcing him to leave behind the girl he'd never forget. Now he's a highly successful real estate mogul and business investor in New York City. The Heroine's Bryn Kelly, she's also from Austin attending high school with Aaric. Bryn knew Aaric was interested in her but she refused his advances. It wasn't because she wasn't interested, she was, but Bryn knew Aaric could do serious damage to her heart. She was a coward. Once Aaric left Austin Bryn realized that he would always be her "what if". All Bryn's plans died when her parents perished in a freak hotel fire. Now Bryn has a new dream but she needs someone to believe in it and help her make it real. Aaric was the bad boy to her good girl in her high school. Secretly Bryn wanted more but refused to admit it to anyone even to herself. Aaric had no qualms about expressing his interest in the sassy pint-sized Texas cutie. Over a decade later Bryn and Aaric meet again; she needs his help to make her dreams a reality. For these star-crossed-lovers the art of the deal's a series of sexy bobs and weaves in a fight for love. Katy Evans brings together an intricate storyline and compelling characters. The POV's mainly Bryn's but it occasionally alternates to Aaric's. Many of his chapters are out-of-sequence flashbacks; which might be the cause of some wonky pacing. Katy Evan's "Tycoon" is a story which intertwines it's past and present, whys and what-ifs, losses and founds. Aaric and Bryn's romance is sassy and sexy yet swims in the deep-end of the pool of self-doubt and regret. This is definitely a couple who belongs in the "Can't Catch a Break" division. Bryn's roommate is a secondary character to keep an eye on. The storyline in "Tycoon" is engaging and compelling though the pacing feels a little uneven at times. However it was a riveting plot. The main characters are amusing, sassy, exchange witty banter and have off-the-charts sexual chemistry. The sex scenes are steamy with a fabulous amount of spice! Aaric and Bryn dance their way through a romantic minefield in this intriguing Katy Evan's romance.
