About the Author
Amber L. Drake is a renowned Canine Behaviorist working with clients all over the United States. Drake owns Canine Companions Boarding and Rehabilitation Services with her home office located in Bemus Point, New York. Drake works side-by-side with large-scale corporations, rescue organizations and veterinarians. In addition to running a company, Drake serves as an Adjunct Professor of Biology at Jamestown Community College (Jamestown, NY) and Adjunct Professor of General Education at Kaplan University (Fort Lauderdale, FL). In May 2017, she founded her own institution known as Canine Companions Institute offering low-cost online coursework to dog owners. Drake has been featured in numerous magazine articles and newspapers. In addition to being featured herself, she has published hundreds of articles with organizations including the Jamestown Post-Journal, PetFirst, PetPremium, Examiner, Dogington Post and Rover. Drake also has several books published which are available at Barnes and Noble. Drake has earned a Doctor of Education (ABD), a Post-Master's Educational Specialist Certification, a Master of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Drake is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Environmental Law to expand her knowledge within the field of Biology. Drake has also completed coursework in Veterinary Science at Cornell University, Veterinary Technology at Penn Foster, Canine Cognition with Duke University and Biochemistry at UC Berkeley.
