We Came as Romans' 2011 sophomore album Understanding What We've Grown to Be followed up the band's 2009 debut, We Plant a Seed. Lyrically somewhat darker in tone than its predecessor, Understanding What We've Grown to Be is also a bigger, more robust production that showcases the band's growth as an ensemble.
