Overview

Untouchable by Isabel Love

Monica Morgan is off limits.

Too bad I didn't know that when we first met. We were just two strangers in a club, drawn together by chemistry.

Imagine my surprise when I find out she's my new boss. Now that we work together, she's determined to keep it professional.

My problem? I can't stop thinking about the night we met.

Forget about the rules. I'm going to make her mine.

I am totally in love with Max Spencer! OMG, he is everything. Full package. Total book husband material (please don't tell Danny Morgan - he's my original book husband). And no, Dr Monica Morgan is no relative of my Danny. This is how he ticks my boxes: He is gorgeous He is sweet and kind He loves kids He's great with old ladies He can dance He's great with his hands, and his mouth He's a nurse, so when I'm poorly he can make me better He works hard He loves his mum He's an amazing big brother He has a great sense of humour He doesn't take anything for granted He cooks a mean lasagna He talks dirty He's shagalicious I'm sold! Untouchable was great. I loved the chemistry between Monica and my Max. There was sufficient story line going on to keep me entertained aside from just sexy times. Bring on Charlie's book. Got to love a piercing. Skipping to Pinterest to find me some sexy nurses. #Maxismine

This book is a MUST read!!!! I don't know that my review will do this book justice. I normally don't give a debut a 5 star review. But this book and author blew me away!!!! It was so well written from the plot to the characters. It was a fun, sexy page turner. I loved that it wasn't your typical rich man trying to take care of the poor girl struggling. Monica was a very independent woman and knew what she wanted. Max was a strong loving man and I loved seeing his vulnerability but he was still oh so sexy. Even though this is a series there was no cliffhanger and it was told in the POV of both Monica and Max. I am super excited for book 2 and can't wait to see Isabel Love grow as an author. I have a feeling her books are going to be amazing and a one click from here on out.

Sweet, sexy, emotionally charged..4.5 stars! Working long hours at the ER with no time for destressing, Monica finally treats herself to a rare night out at the club to blow off some steam. Dr. Monica Morgan can’t believe she’s dancing with the sexiest man that presses all the right buttons to her inner siren. Getting hot and heavy with the tall, luscious man on the dance floor is feeling too good, and reluctantly, Monica steals away before Mr. Blue Eyes can find out her name. Max Spencer felt the undeniable chemistry with the hottie on the dance floor. Their bodies practically sizzled while he was allowed to touch her. He just wished he got her name and number. But Max would soon find out his mystery woman would be his boss’s boss at his new job. Max Spencer is the new nurse in the ER at the hospital Monica works. Untouchable is a great debut for Isabel Love, and I enjoyed how she navigates Max and Monica through real life problems. Their attraction and undeniable chemistry brings them together forming a great friendship and romance, but there is conflict they have to work through. For one, their romance is forbidden at the office. Monica wants to keep their affair a secret a while longer, and Max thinks he may be the dirty secret she’s keeping because of the glaring differences in their status, their ages, and the disparity in income. Loved the plot, and the alternating POVs where we are privy to all the intense emotions and problems. So glad Monica decided to face the truth about her feelings for Max, and accept what was important in her life: a real chance at love and happiness. And wonderful secondary characters. Great job, Ms. Love. I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Fantastic debut book! I loved this story! Max is great! And Monica is wonderful. I love how the woman is the doctor! Not that it's a bad thing but we always get the woman as the lesser of the two. Max is the nurse. I enjoyed this story. I was truly sucked into their story. Max and Monica are one sexy couple! I love their bucket list! I have to say Max's friends are awesome as well as Quinn, Monica's friend. I can not wait to read more of this couple. I'm sure we will see them in the next book! Can not wait!

Isabel Love brings us a hospital workplace romance between a doctor and a nurse. The twist is that the doctor's a woman and the nurse is a man. What's unfortunate is "Untouchable" has a rather weak Heroine. The conflicts, seem largely superficial making Monica appear lacking in my opinion. One of her main concerns is that she's older than he the other is that he's a nurse. Many may say I'm wrong because the Monica says it's other people's opinions, such as her father. However, there are instances in which she's asked what the Hero's profession is, and she replies vaguely. Her other flaw is she cares what others think. Max is a nurse in the ER in which she's the Director of, therefore she's his boss' boss. She's the youngest director on the board, and a female. That's cause for concern though she should have more confidence. Another issue regarding the Heroine, Monica, she only has one friend. She's worked at the same hospital for eight years, before she was an intern and she has no work friends? She has one non-work friend - that's all. No college friends from undergrad days? No med school friends? This would be different if the story focused mainly, if not solely, on Monica and Max but it doesn't. But Max's friends play a big role in his life and therefore Monica's one friend as well. Max is a great character. He's a Beta Hero a nurturer and a source of calm and Home. I LOVE those! Yes he's younger than Monica but he sounds a little too young; I think he should have an older voice. He graduated later in life because he was working part-time assisting his mother and younger sisters financially. Max's friends are great secondary characters however Charlie is a bit grating although I figure that's by design. The next book features him as the Hero. Monica's friend Quinn is extremely well done and very intriguing. The hospital's ER staff are great background characters. No stereotypical mean girls, flaming gay male nurses, oversexed or priggish doctors. Kudos for that. I'm not sure if the pacing was slow or just that the storyline was not that gripping. I did like the Heroine, just not that much. The Hero was charming and extremely likable. Their first meeting was extremely HOT and the sex scenes were not disappointing. When the main couple were together they were fabulously adorable and sexy. Unfortunately there were too many flaws that got in the way for me.
