This book is well worth reading, lots of information available. If interested in making low cost self-watering containers, he shows how to. Which plants to pair and how to continue planting throughout the planting season and get the most out of Container Gardening.

This book is absolutely amazing! It clearly explains needed containers (mainly self-watering containers), soil, and it tells you how to make compost. The section about container vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers clearly explains how to grow plants, remove pests, and eat them. The illustrations are absolutely clear.
I would reccomend this book to anyone who wants help or to learn about container gardening.

I'm getting ready to start seeds for my fourth season since reading this book, so I guess you could say it inspired me! Due to physical problems I had to give up gardening, but most people can handle a few containers. For one thing, you can put them on your deck where you can see them from the window, so if they wilt you can water them instead of going into vegetable denial with a traditional garden at the very back of your yard. This book literally opened a whole new world for me. The photos are so beautiful. It does have a lot of how-to info, but you will need to buy a book about pests and diseases or google various problems with insects and diseases. Still, this book will show you the possibilities and inspire you. Whether you make your own containers from the directions included (works perfectly) or you decide to go with an earthbox system (they are only mentioned in this book but information on them is readily available) this is without a doubt my favorite garden book.

AWESOME book, I bought it! Explains in detail the soil types for your veggies, depth of pots, what plants you can grow together and the plants you should keep separate!

If you are interested in gardening (especially container gardening) you can't go without this book. Best money i've spent since getting my nook last year.

Lots of great ideas and instructions for growing vegetables in containers. Easy to follow, lots of pictures, well written.

This book was just one large ad for self watering containers. The most useful piece of information in it is how to make your own with plastic tubs, which you can find how to do for free online by googling it. His advice on when to start harvesting one herb is no lie "harvest leaves as soon as the plants are big enough not to miss the foliage".... Well I bought a book on it because I would like to know when that is. If you're going to grown in containers my advice is just to buy regular gardening book.
Ps. I would recommend hydroponics as opposed to self watering containers, just sayin.

This book was helpful with my container garden but it lacked some of the help with a wide variety of vegetable and fruits, and dealing with disease and pests that I had hoped for.
