Vines and Values: A Consumer's Guide to Sustainable Wine: Savoring Wines You Need to Know
What if your next bottle of wine could support the planet, protect workers, and fight climate change?

Vines and Values: A Consumer’s Guide to Sustainable Wine shifts the spotlight to where it matters most: the consumer. In this eye-opening and empowering guide, sustainability expert Sandra E. Taylor reveals how your wine purchases can drive real change across the global wine industry.

Over the past fifteen years, vineyards and wineries have embraced a wide range of environmental practices, including organic and biodynamic farming, natural winemaking, and low-carbon packaging. Many producers now carry certifications for sustainable winegrowing. However, while the industry is evolving, consumers are still left guessing at what these labels mean and which wines truly align with their values.

This book changes that. Vines and Values demystifies sustainability in wine by offering clear explanations of terms such as certified organic, regenerative, biodynamic, and natural wine. It introduces Wine-WATCH, a groundbreaking rating system that helps shoppers identify wines made with environmental integrity and social responsibility. You will also discover how to reduce your carbon footprint through wine choices, explore stories of innovative winemakers, and learn how to support fair labor and climate resilience through what is in your glass.

Whether you are a wine lover, an eco-conscious consumer, or a sustainability advocate, this is your essential guide to ethical, eco-friendly, and great-tasting wine.

Drink smarter. Choose greener. Make every glass count.
