Here’s everything I love in a book: Post-Apocalyptical, paranormal beings, magic, mystery, and of course, romance. Add to that soul-sucking beasts, zombies, and missing persons and you get one heck of a story.

This is a great, great, great read! I would strongly recommend it to lovers of paranormal. There are hot love scenes, that aren’t necessarily erotica. With a great cast of secondary characters, Fiona Moon and Ian Barroes light up this novel, as the two kick ass main characters. Fiona is one of those hard ass heroines, with emotional walls five miles high, with a bit of a soft mushy inside; she fights hard for the underdog, and seems to always win. Ian is a necromancer who is super sexy, and with five years of emotion and attraction boiling between them, it was bound to explode- and oh, it did.

I absolutely hope that there are more books in the future with these characters, as I love them, and this post-apocalyptical world is fascinating. Even more so because the cataclysm that ended society as we know it is completely and totally possible, and frankly, from my understanding, will likely occur one day (I’m talking in couple of million years). I look forward to reading more from this author.

So, why not a 5 star rating? Well, there were lots of silly editing errors. No big deal to some readers, a huge deal to others. Consider this your heads up- but I would seriously recommend reading it anyway. The story is totally worth a couple of reading missteps when you stumble over a sentence.

I have to be honest, Voodoo Moon is definitely a delicious treat. The moment I read the excerpts, I was hooked. Then I started reading the book. It was so worth the sleep loss.

Told in alternating point of views, we get deep knowledge of our characters. Ian is a yummy treat; smart, rich, observant, kind, downright gorgeous. Fiona meanwhile is feisty, could care less how she looked in the public and is very protective to her family. She's also very independent and can kick ass. I loved her instantly.

I love how their relationship wasn't loosely based on love at first sight. Well, not really. It was based on years of being at each others' throats all the while wanting to have a go at each other in the bedroom. Sexual tension was high everywhere they go and they can't seem to go by without at least one NSFW thoughts. Of course, holding back for too long can't be that good as when they finally got to it, it was smoking and smoldering.

The plot itself is a treat. It is full of mystery and exudes sexiness. The dystopian world they lived in and how the author presented it is compelling. The whole story is unpredictable at most, and it keeps the reader restlessly wondering and anticipating the next scenes. It is well-written and so vivid, I could have been watching a movie for all I know. At the same time, the author also did a good job explaining Plus, it is also intriguing and made one ponder its probability.

All in all, I just love Voodoo Moon and everything it has to offer. Beautifully written and simply irresistible, Voodoo Moon will pull you in their world and trap you in to the very last page.
