I think there is a formatting problem. I only get a few words of each line, then they rest of it disappears off the page... I was looking forward to this book!

I received this book from Book Empire Promotions¿ in return for a fair and honest review. Wanted By You is the first in the Love In The City series and tells the tale of Carter and Ellyson (Elly) who first met in College. They became best friends and both wanted more from the other but was afraid to make a move in case it broke their friendship. Through circumstances beyond his control, Carter has to move back home to Texas and they eventually lose touch. Fast forward a few years and Carter is moving back to New York. He wonders whether Elly is still around and hopes that through mutual friends he will be able to find her as his feelings for her have never changed. Fate has a hand to play in this and then the story really moves along. This is not a highly sexed, lots of angst, power play filled book. This is a gentle tale of a love worth having and the normal ups and downs that two people bring with them to their relationship. Steph Nuss is not afraid to deal with big topics during her books and this one deals with a cancer scare. It is brilliantly written and deeply poignant whilst being completely in keeping with the rest of the book. I really enjoyed it and would happily recommend her as an author and this series.

Perfection! Favorite Quotes: “Every time he moved, the invigorating, crisp scent of his soap drifted along with him, sending my nostrils into nosgasms breathing him in.” “He held me in his arms like I was weightless.  Like gravity had no effect on me, and if he let go, I’d float around like an astronaut in space.” “He made me love drunk.” “It’s been awhile since yours truly had her boat rocked, but I remember what it’s like being young and in love and not being able to keep your hands to yourself.  Don’t you dare try to cool that down, because one day your bodies will betray you.  You’ll need pills to get your buddy up and she’ll need lube to make her slide slippery.  Trust me Carter, take advantage of your body’s performance now because it will only go downhill from here.” My Review: This book is perfection.  It has all my favorite reading elements, and then some.  It is well written, entertaining, a second chance romance, epic love, thoughtful and tender consideration of each other, deliciously steamy love scenes, interesting and friendly secondary characters, clever humor, and very little conflict or angst among the main characters.  There is conflict… always is in life… but at least most of it is not between the two lovers.  I totally appreciate a story where the main characters are reveling in each other and enjoying their time together, rather than fighting their feelings or attraction.  There are poignant moments that had me sobbing, although I was usually smiling with contentment and humming with satisfaction.  I feasted on this book and wasn’t willing to put it down.  In truth, I only stopped when my kindle put itself down during those periods I accidentally fell into unconsciousness.  I adored it and cannot wait to start the next one in the series, which I hope will continue into infinity.

4 Heart Warming Stars  TITLE~ Wanted By You (Love in the City, #1) AUTHOR~ Steph Nuss GENRE~ Contemporary Romance PUBLISHER/DATE PUB.~ Expected Release Date: February 27, 2014 COST/PURCHASED~ ARC MY RATING~ 4  SYNOPSIS~ (From Goodreads) Carter was captivated by Ellyson Evans the moment he laid eyes on her, but she was the one girl who didn't beg for his attention. He wanted her. Ellyson vowed to never fall in love, because love can destroy you, but then she met Carter Jennings. She wanted him. Unwilling to risk their comfortable friendship, neither confessed their desires. Losing touch after college, a chance meeting reconnects them. They want each other. But love in the city is never quite that easy. MY THOUGHTS~  I received an arc of this book to review. I quickly fell in love with characters in this book. I absolutely LOVE a "friends-to-lovers" story and this book is that and then some! It takes you on an emotional ride along with the main characters. I would have liked to have seen more of their past in the beginning of the book than the author included, but the past was outlined throughout the story, so there weren't too many blank spots. I feel like the characters were well defined. The story was well written, which I appreciate as a reader and grammar junkie :) I will definitely be on the lookout for a sequel! Even if a continuation of the series means future books may be about other characters in the book rather than the "original" couple, I look forward to reading their stories!

This book was phenomenal!!! Carter is my new book boyfriend!!! I think I am going to have to keep him around for a while! My heart smiled while reading this from the beginning all the way to the end!  This is the story of Carter and Elly! They meet in school and form an immediate attraction towards each other but it never develops into anything more than just an extremely close friendship! They are best friends. They keep their feelings hidden from each other but you know there is definitely something between them! "Her eyes made my pulse race, my breath hitch, and I couldn't for the life of me remember ever gazing into eyes as big and fierce as hers. They were like melted fudge poured over ice cream: delicious and warm." Carter has to leave and head home to Texas though when he needs to help after his father is in an accident. He wants more than anything for her to go with him but he knows she is where she needs to be! They eventually lose touch and when he comes back to New York they have a chance encounter! The sparks fly from the moment they set eyes on each other again!  "I really didn't think seeing him again would feel like this: like my body had been set on fire but I wasn't going to stop, drop and roll." Elly and Carter were able to pick up where they left off. They had both wanted to be together and you could feel the chemistry between them. It was like a night on the fourth of July.... sparks were flying!!! They were steamy in the bedroom and outside! The things that Carter did for Elly though were amazing! He truly loved her and put her first. He stood by her through her fears and wanted to be her rock.... the thing that really got me were the letters at the end of the story... plus the envelopes from her friends!!! The sweetest thing!!!  This story was just amazing and told from both the past and present. We get little flashbacks of things that happened which gave us that more insight on the bond they had! It is told from both Carter and Elly's point of view! Please don't miss out of this story and pick up a copy! It was a quick read but definitely one that will stay in your heart for a long time!

Wanted By You is the debut novel from author Steph Nuss and the first in her Love in the City Series.  Wow…what a kick ass debut.  I loved this book! Carter and Ellyson met the very first day of their college career and became fast and close friends.  But that’s all they ever were.  Close friends.  Oh, not because they didn’t have feelings that went beyond that because they both did.  They both also had reasons for never acting upon those feelings and so it stayed in the ‘friend zone” for them.  Soon college would be over and Carter had to head home to Texas to help his family’s business and they lost touch.  Fast forward to five years later…. Carter Jennings can’t believe he’s finally back in New York and has landed a fabulous job as an English professor at his college alma matter.  Of course being back here reminds him of Ellyson and has him wondering even more what she is doing these days and where she is.  He can’t believe he let her slip away from him five years ago.  He knew now without a doubt that she was the one woman for him.  Now that he’s getting his life together back in NY, he knows his next mission is to tack her down.  Little did he know that he wouldn’t have to look too far… Psychologist Ellyson Evans has made her dreams come true after graduation by opening her own practice and doing what she’s dreamed of.  Mental health and helping others.  She loved being able to stay in New York and stay close to her dad.  After losing her mom to cancer when she was younger, he was her only family and she wouldn’t dream of leaving.  Not even to move to Texas.  Not that Carter had asked her anything like that when he left.  Elly was the one who secretly pined for Carter, not the other way around.  She still missed him every day, even five years later.  Turns out she wouldn’t have to miss him much more when she runs into him while visiting a professor friend and immediately knows she won’t let him get away twice. Fate clearly had a plan for Carter and Elly and brought them back together at just the right time.  It may have taken five years, but now they were both ready to admit their feelings and give love a try.  But would it be enough to get past old fears? Oh my, how I loved this book!  I read it on my flight home from vacation and the poor man in front of me had to deal with my giggling, dreamy sighs and ugly tears….but I couldn’t help it!  Carter and Elly’s story is just so good!  I loved getting to read when they met and how close they became but what I loved more was that they went their separate ways and came back older and wiser.  They were able to grow together as well as apart and when they were ultimately reunited, they were ready to admit they both held feelings that went much deeper than friends.  Carter is just so amazing.  He is sexy, smart, caring, and will do anything for Elly.  He practically does.  He had me in a puddle of lovey-dovey goo by the end of this book.  Seriously, he may be one of the most perfect guys ever.  He’s there for Elly when she needs him most (no spoilers but I will say she goes through some serious things and will really need him!) and I loved him even more for that.  Elly is a great match for Carter.  She is smart, beautiful, confident, and kind.  She is also afraid.  Afraid of loving and losing…the way she lost her mother.  Luckily for her, Carter isn’t one to back away when the road gets rough. The ending to this book was simply perfect and had me crying happy tears and grinning a big goofy grin.  Oh, how I loved it! There’s also a fabulous cast of characters in Carter and Elly’s friends.  I can’t wait to read more of this series! Thank you, Steph, for a fabulous book and for giving us Carter and Elly!
