The battle is far from over.

When the lives of her loved ones are put in peril, who will Audrey turn to for help? On the surface, Audrey's existence in the afterlife is coming together. Her quirky new mentor guides her on the path to becoming the demon hunter she always hoped. She has great friends and even a kinda-sorta-maybe new boyfriend. But if things are so wonderful, why is Logan never far from her thoughts?

After learning that her family is the target of an unprecedented demonic siege Audrey puts all she's gained in jeopardy by defying heavenly authorities and returning to Earth. Stranded at the place she once called home with the one person she's been desperate to forget, she'll face vicious monsters, betrayers, and a legion of demons with an insidious weapon that even her celestial sword can't defeat.

Will Audrey's mistakes in the afterlife be what destroys the lives of the ones she loves the most?

About the Author

Julie Hall is a USA Today bestselling YA fantasy author and 1st place winner of the 2012 Women of Faith national writing contest. She was also was awarded "Best Debut Author" at the 2017 Ozarks Indie Book Festival.

Before writing her first novel Julie worked as a film publicist and rubbed elbows with the rich and famous . . . as in she would gently nudge them to let them know their meal had arrived during press interviews.

She now spends most of her "office hours" with her two furry writing buddies. Her daughter thinks that mommy's superpower is "sleeping all day," but that's because she's often awake until the wee hours of the morning weaving tales of adventure in worlds of her own creation. When asked in an interview what she wanted to be when she grew up, she's quoted to have answered, "to never have to grow up."

She currently lives in Portland, Oregon with her four favorite people--her husband, daughter, and two doodles (because dogs are people too).

I honestly don't even know where to start with Warfare. This book climbed inside of my head and my heart and took up residence. It challenged me in ways that I was grateful for. Each character is so well thought out, crucial, and perfectly paced. Julie is a master storyteller, and spins this elaborate Life After world that you can fully immerse yourself into. I found myself wondering how I would deal with the challenges that her MC Audrey faces. I found myself reliving memories from my own life, struggles that I've overcome, but are watching Audrey dive head first into. I keep telling everyone that I WISH I had been able to read this book as a teenager. I would have found so many similarities and probably faced challenges much differently. This book has every facet of what a book should be. A vivid world dipped in everything you could possibly want to see in the After Life, rich emotion that you can either find yourself in or that you've experienced with others, a range of emotions that are true and very real. This story was also perfectly paced to give you time to really enjoy everything about it. The humor was so spot on, and I often think about and crack up at what I previously read. Thank you so much Julie for providing an outlet, an escape, that I could pour myself into and get lost inside of,for far longer than when the book was closed. I will be sharing both of your books with whoever will listen to me shouting it from the rooftops!
