Wasteland: The Slavers:
Humanity is on the brink of extinction. A global war one hundred years earlier resulted in an almost total loss of human life. It is a post-apocalypse with virtually no men.
The women that rule the world live in relative peace, but all hope of staving off the end of our species is nearly gone.
Yet, somewhere deep in a government bunker, a secret community lives and thrives - having escaped the virus that rendered all other men infertile. If a single, breedable male is worth killing for, an entire community of them will invite all-out war.
And their secret is about to be discovered.

About the Author

Christopher Robin Hood finished his first screenplay while still in high school. At 15-years old, it was passed on by Columbia Pictures; mercilessly criticized for its lack of originality and amateurishness. It was an honest, fair and well-earned rejection.
More than a decade (and dozens of mediocre scripts) later, Chris managed to produce one of his screenplays as an indie film called, “Impact.” Although it won a number of awards at film festivals (including best screenplay), it never found distribution (though it can be discovered today on Amazon). It was that film, however, that was seen by an executive producer who would finance three more low budget projects that Chris produced (two of which he also wrote and directed).
Several uneventful years passed with Chris finally feeling confident enough to tackle a manuscript. The resulting work was a piece of upmarket fiction called, “Phoenix.” The first company that read it purchased the project and the film rights, hiring Chris to draft the screenplay. With that small success, some other doors opened and a modest string of projects all quickly found homes. His next script, a World War II story called “The Commandant,” had a deal in place within 24 hours. Following that, two story pitches for feature films were commissioned and delivered in the space of 9 months.
While waiting for one (or more) of his sold screenplays to move from development to production, Chris finished a post-apocalyptic tale he’d been working on for several years called, “Wasteland.” As a planned series of five books, the first one, “The Slavers,” received interest immediately upon completion. The company that acquired the film/tv rights agreed to not just the initial manuscript, but the four additional books in the series as well.
As of 2024, Chris is working on a the second book in the EDIN Histories called, “Wasteland: The Traitors,” while also writing another screenplay which has been ordered from the that very same company that bought the movie rights to his first book.
Another book, a stand-alone horror titles called, “Whiteout,” is completed and will be released in 2025. Film/TV rights are under discussion for that title as well.
