We Ain’t Got No Daddy: Epidemic Father Hunger in the African-American Community

According to most national studies including the U.S. Census Bureau, over two-thirds of all African-American families currently have no fathers positively involved with them on a daily basis. Paternal abandonment has become too commonplace and passively accepted as normal in the African-American community. However, fathers abandoning their children—either physically or emotionally—is not at all normal in humanity, and we are certainly beginning to see the effects of this atrocity.
