I got this book to help my cousin plan her wedding. We couldn't afford to hire a professional so we relied on book like this. It's well-organized. It showed us what to do and offered many money saving tips. Big help for novices like us.

Written by a former wedding planner, this book tells you everything you need to know to plan your wedding on the cheap while avoiding stress as much as possible. Author Tammy Beatty goes through all the basics, from transportation to wedding rings to planning your honeymoon to music selections. Whatever aspect of your wedding might have you worried, she offers something smart on the subject, and she also gives out a slew of insider tips on ways to save money that most couples don't know about.

If you are like most who are dealing with the distressed economy, then this is a good title that can help you create a memorable wedding, for far less than you expect. I must point out, this is best for those couples who have at least 6-8 months to plan before the big day, and not so much for those who decide to get hitched on the spur of the moment. The checklist in the book is a valuable resource that will keep you on track with your planning, and help you budget accordingly. Not to mention the great tips on how to find most of your wedding items significantly less than full retail!

This book is perfect for women who want an over the top wedding without the over the top cost. Weddings tend to be very expensive so it is good to save money wherever possible which sometimes means not having a wedding planner. Since this book was written by a former wedding planner it provides everything that women will need to consider when planning their wedding. It also includes a lot of great websites to check out while planning to get ideas and keep up with your details. This book also includes a handy checklist which makes it easy to keep up with all of the details of your wedding so you know everything is taken care of. Basically everything you need to know about planning a wedding is included in this book and so far it has been extremely helpful in planning my wedding.

The information in this book was interesting and very informative. There were excellent ideas for how a person can still have a nice wedding with a tight budget.  I like that this book instantly states it is for people that do have the time to plan for a wedding, not for a couple that gets engaged only a couple of days before the wedding. The author is considerate about the time and needs of the readers.
