About the Author

Jacqueline grew up with eleven siblings, one outhouse, and electricity that wasn’t always on. Every day, they walked to an old mill to get water. These things shaped her early life. The long walks, carrying heavy buckets, taught her to keep going, no matter what. And even though the walk to school was a mile, it was a nice break.
Jacqueline couldn’t remember much of her childhood; her memory was like sand slipping through the fingers of time. This profound lack of early memories was a bewildering void, and she desperately sought to make sense of it. Years later, she had a powerful life-changing vision in which her uncle Jerry took her to heaven and beyond. When she woke from the vision, she quickly wrote of her experience and had it copyrighted initially in 1997. This amazing experience fills her writing with wonder, as if she’s seen something magical that most people haven’t. It gives her words a special, spiritual feeling mixed with the reality of a hard life.
