What Happened to Tony?
Private Investigator Peter Blaylock is pulled into an unusual missing person case. A man named Tony was reported missing by four girlfriends and a wife. The police are too busy to pursue the case, so the women turn to Peter to hunt the man down and the answer the question: What happened to Tony? The bizarre answer to that question takes Peter down a dark and twisted path.

"Peter Blaylock? Are you Peter?"

Looking up, I immediately appreciated Tony's taste in girlfriends. Christy – I assumed it was Christy – was a knockout. Her curly red hair flowed well past her shoulders; her skin was a sun-kissed caramel color, and, in my opinion, her figure was superbly proportioned. I took a quick measure of her outfit - she was wearing a paisley peasant blouse and jeans with strategic rips, providing me with glimpses of smooth skin.

"Yes, I'm Peter. And you must be Christy, right?"

"Yep."

Christy placed a plastic cup containing ice and a light-brown liquid – tea was my guess – on the table, before she lowered herself into a seat across from me.

"Thanks for meeting with me, Peter. I hope you can find Tony for me."

I never learned the art of thumb typing on the phone, so I pulled out a pen and a small notepad from my inner blazer pocket.

"I'll do my best. I need to ask you some questions before I can get started."

Christy smiled in reply, revealing gleaming white teeth. Dimples formed on her cheeks, highlighting freckles under her tan.

"Let's start with this - how long have you been dating Tony?"

"We've been seeing each other for about six months."

"And has your relationship been exclusive?"

She frowned at that question. "It's complicated."
