What's in the Hole?

Told through the lens of a nature photographer, this story follows a flicker family from hole-pecking to hatchling. Grammie sees a flicker enlarging a hole in a tree as she walks in the park, and watches the flickers as they build their nest and raise their young. She also begins to notice other holes that have animals living in them. This book documents a family of Northern Flickers as well as two families of European Starlings and a hive of bees.
