When Love Returns is the third and final book in the Zimmerman Restoration trilogy by Kim Vogel Sawyer. I was so excited to read the last book in the series! But it didn't feel like it was finished because of the daughter. Her story didn't seem to be completely told. Maybe there's going to be a spin-off of this trilogy? Suzanne Zimmerman has moved back home, and right away is faced with the struggle of being around her birth daughter without being able to acknowledge her as her own. As she learns to cope, her daughter, Alexa, jolts her with her idea of going to look for her birth mother in Indianapolis. Reeling from shock as well as fear, Suzanne still realizes she has to let Alexa go. While Alexa is gone, Suzanne becomes closer to her old boyfriend, Paul. Will they finally be able to reconcile? I really liked the closeness between mother and daughter even while the daughter was searching for her birth mother. They truly cared and respected each other. It was very refreshing to read! Plus, it was a great idea to have Alexa go looking for her birth mother and get some closure from that while Suzanne and her birth daughter find each other, too. I really enjoyed this book, but I really wanted to hear more about Alexa and that guy from the second book. It seemed forgotten in the third book. She did see him for a little bit, but it was so quick and rushed. I keep hoping there's going to be another book about Alexa.... :-) I was given this book for free from Waterbrook Multnomah in exchange for an honest review.

When Love Returns is an emotionally charged, wonderful ending to the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy. I have enjoyed all three of the books in this series. These stories really do depend on each other. So, I would recommend reading them in order. I loved the way the author handled the complicated issues in this book. My favorite story line was the one that played out between Suzanne and Paul, especially as I have been desperately wanting to see what would happen between them since book one. It was very satisfying. There are a couple of story lines to follow that take place in Indianapolis and deal with Alexa’s background. Although painful emotions wrought havoc in Alexa’s life and in the lives of another family living in Indianapolis, it was so very interesting to watch it all play out and see what happened. I definitely recommend this book to fans of Amish and Mennonite fiction. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third book in the author's 'Restoration Series'. I read Book Two and enjoyed it very much. Chapter One of this book is a little confusing until facts from the past stories are presented to bring readers up to date. There are two major storylines in this book. One involves Suzanne Zimmerman, a single mother of an adult daughter, in her late thirties who was raised in an Old Order Mennonite community in Kansas. The other storyline involves a married mother of two, Cynthia Algood, who lives in Indianapolis. Both women made choices two decades ago which they've come to regret greatly. I won't go into specifics here because I don't want to ruin the story for you. The bad decisions these two women made in their younger years have caused them to lie, harbor deep secrets, and carry heavy burdens throughout their adult years. Through much soul-searching, the sharing of their deepest feelings, confessing their previous mistakes to their loved ones, and seeking guidance from God the women are finally able to make peace with themselves, those close to them, and God. The author's writing style is warm and inviting. Her characters are well-developed and interesting. The closing few chapters are the most engaging in the book. I enjoyed the recipes she included at the end of the book. Recommended for fans of inspirational fiction and romance and clean fiction. ________________________________________ NOTE FROM REVIEWER: I received a paperback copy of this book from Blogging for Books to read for this review. Kim Vogel Sawyer in her new book “When Love Returns” Book Three in The Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy published by Waterbrook Press continues the story of Alexa Zimmerman. From the back cover: Riddled with doubt and lingering regrets, will Suzanne and Paul find strength in God to explore a second chance at love? It wasn’t easy to move back to the Old Order Mennonite community from which quiet, responsible Suzanne Zimmerman was shamefully sent away as a pregnant teen. Returning twenty years later to take care of her mother, Suzanne and Alexa—the daughter she raised as her own—have spent months rebuilding relationships with her family. Now with the upcoming wedding of their biological daughter, Suzanne and Paul find themselves drawn to one another once again—but with new challenges to face. They have been single parents with painful pasts. Can Paul and Suzanne find the strength to rebuild the loving relationship that was torn apart by their teen pregnancy so long ago? Suzanne must also let go of Alexa as she heads back to Indianapolis to visit friends–and as her chance to find her birth parents. Leaving the bed-and-breakfast in Suzanne’s apprehensive hands, Alexa embarks on a journey that will certainly change her life completely. Can mother and daughter trust God to restore all things in His timing? This is the third book in The Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy. Ms. Sawyer clearly knows how to write a trilogy: Book One introduced the characters and the story line, Book Two moved the story along dramatically but brought the characters to a low point and now here in Book Three we are given the epic conclusion. And I do mean epic. This is quite a story. The reason for it being so interesting is the characters that Ms. Sawyer has created. This is a book about faith, family and forgiveness. There is a reason why it is called The Restoration Trilogy and it is so much fun to get to that point. Get ready for a very interesting read that will keep you flipping pages. I am sorry that this series is ending but I am looking forward to the next book from the talented pen of Ms. Sawyer. Kim Vogel Sawyer does not fail. "When Love Returns" Book 3 and the final book of the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy is a fabulous end to the series! The book wraps up questions one may have throughout reading the books and ends with love, inspiration and most of all hope. I highly recommend the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy and any of Ms. Sawyer’s books, particularly, if you love spiritual, inspirational and motivating books. This conclusive book to the Zimmerman Trilogy does not disappoint! Ms. Sawyer is a wonderfully gifted author that spins tales that God places upon her heart. Awesome read!

When Love Returns is the third, and sadly the last installment of the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed getting to know this family. In this book, a reader will get their questions answered they may had from the first two books of trilogy. Like any other book written by the talented Kim Vogel Sawyer, I highly recommend this one. Fabulous conclusion to the trilogy. 5 plus stars!

This is the third book in The Zimmerman Trilogy and it is top notch in my book. I recommend you read the previous books, as everything is tied together in this book. i was sad to see it end, as i loved the plot, the characters, and the movement of the story. Kim is an excellent author, who weaves an intricate story that keeps you wanting more. i love how real her characters are and the way faith, forgiveness, and restoration are shown. The mercy and grace of Christ is an important part of this series. i received a copy of this book for an honest review andI have given that. i have never read a book by Kim that i didn't love. her books are of highest quality.
