I read this book many years ago, but rereading it is just as enjoyable. It is well-written. It is a reminder of the freedom our soldiers fought for in WWII and how easily it can be lost.

This book draws you in, twists, turns, and the characters become real. Worth staying up all night to finish.

This book was written in the 1940s Iduring the time the Nazis were invading many countries. I find it as interesting today as I did reading it in the 1960s. Why, because Putin is using the same tactics as Hitler did! Characters are well done by the author. She came by her insight into WW II spies through the fact that she had traveled with her husband to many European countries pre the start of WW II. One of her books was so informative about the situation in France that it was required reading by OSS, the British spy group. Google Helen MacInnes and you will find a wealth of information about she, her husband, and the books that she wrote.
