Attacked by werewolves. Mated to the Alpha. Declared a queen. Kari is having an unusual day. In the Cherchez wolf pack, loyalty is earned, not given. For Andreas, the pull he feels toward Kari cannot be ignored, a physical bond immediate and unbreakable—though Andreas wants to win Kari’s heart as well as her body. But someone isn’t happy about his new mate, and Kari’s just beginning to trust him and the pack when attempted murder threatens their newfound happiness. Andreas brings out the deepest hunger in Kari, a sexy, passionate side of herself she never knew was there. And her new life as werewolf queen is turning out to be surprisingly emotional in other ways, as well. The bond she feels with Andreas extends to the others in the pack—others she’s now bound to defend. And as the pack’s enemies are about to discover, Kari will do anything to protect her new family. Review: Before I picked this up for review, I had looked at reviews of the old version and people were kind of rough with their reviews, so I was a little nervous. I have read lots of Ms. Dane's books and could not imagine that this could be that bad and it was not. I don't know if it was the revisions or a different publisher/editor but I found this pack and story very intriguing. The pack dynamics and the back story of how the clans work had an interesting twist to them. The book surprised me a little too, at one point I thought the book was ending and then more mystery surrounding someone trying to kill Kari came up and the book kept going. My one problem was that Kari really did seem to do an about flip in a matter of days, she had been attacked, turned in to a werewolf and basically kidnapped and it still was a matter of days and she was "in love" with Andreas. That was pushing it for me. I did like that the further into the book we got the stronger Kari became and stood up for herself. This book is super sexy and just to forewarn there are M/F, M/M, M,F,M so if any of that bothers, you have been warned. Lauren really does a great job with the sexy scenes and I can always count on them being well-done. One other thing that threw me off was, the epilogue. It seemed to wrap up everyone's storylines, so I was confused when I saw there is a second book in the series. Will have to wait and see what happens in the next book. I enjoyed reading this story and while not my most favorite of her books it was well worth the read. 3.5Stars *Received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.*
