This one is a quick wolf-shifter love story between Hudson and Erica. Erica meets Hudson while figuring her life and although she fell in love with him she doesn't get the same feeling from him. But unexpected happens and she is coming back to find a compromise with him. After Erica leaves Hudson has difficulty having her so far away, so he decides to bring her home and ask her to mate him. Enjoyable story with ok characters and storyline, although short it was interesting and had enough to keep me satisfied in the end. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

This sexy short is book 7 in the Crescent Moon series and features Hudson and Erica. The book started with these two already together. It was a lack of communication that threw it all off and had Hudson scrambling to make it all right again. This is a quick read with fabulous characters. I can’t wait to read more.

Erica took time away from her pack. During this time she met Hudson. A friendship bloomed. Erica wanted more but it looked like Hudson was comfy with the way things were. Erica decided to head back home. Where she would get surprise. Hudson wants Erica to be his. But he does not want to scare her off. He will take it slow. But is he sure that is the way to go. Especially after she heads home. Now he needs to decide what he really wants. This was a great story. I enjoyed reading it. I have really enjoyed this series and I cannot wait to read more.

I have a love/hate relationship with novellas. Sometimes I just want a good afternoon quickie....read. BUT novellas are a difficult to pull off. You have to have the perfect balance of relationship buildup, character development and story line that doesn't feel rushed. The fact that Erica and Hudson relationship was already established took care of usual novella mass info dump. Thankfully no need to worry about that feeling of being rushed. The author did an amazing job of avoiding the usual issues that arise in shorter stories. There's not much else that I need to say other than I thoroughly enjoyed Wolf's Mate. It was an engaging, sweet and sexy read. If you are a fan of overprotective alpha shifters and plucky heroines then you won't want to miss this one!

She wasn’t supposed to fall for him. Erica’s time away from her pack was just supposed to be fun. Then she met Hudson. Instead of the no-strings attached fling, she ended up falling for him. But they’d promised each other that they’d keep things casual. Instead of risking her heart, she ran. Now she’s pregnant—and he’s determined to claim her. But the last thing she wants is to be an obligation to him. Now she’s pregnant. Erica could never be a duty to Hudson, but for some reason that’s what she thinks she is. He tried to go slow, to give her space—so he wouldn’t scare her off. Now he realizes that was a mistake. It’s time for this wolf to claim his mate. Unfortunately a neighboring pack is stirring up trouble for his pack, and his she-wolf is determined to keep walls between them. Walls he intends to bring down once and for all. Review: Another great read from one of my go-to Authors. This is a quick read, but a well-rounded story for a small package. I love a good oops baby story and that this one involves some supernatural beings, just adds to my enjoyment. This is book 7 in the series, but each can totally be read as a stand alone and be enjoyable to read. If you have read the series, you will see some familiar characters. I loved Erica and Hudson. They are both great as individuals, strong, smart, caring but together they really do make a united force. They have just enough insecurities to add tension to their love story, but not insurmountable. If you want a quick entertaining read, I would highly recommend picking up this book. 4Stars *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the Author.*

When Erica meets Hudson their attraction is powerful and passionate. He's the second in command of the Kendrick pack. She's fallen hard for him but what does Hudson feel? I enjoyed this romance. The characters are likeable and the story is fast paced. I would have liked to get to know Erica and Hudson better because their chemistry is amazing. I'm a fan of the Crescent Moom Werewolf Romances.

Erika and Hudson have known each other for a few months yet there’s a pretty strong connection between them, so when Hudson asks Erika to stay with him in his pack’s territory but mentions nothing about mating, she feels kind of disappointed. She definitely wants more and now that she’s found out she’s pregnant the last thing she wants is for him to feel obligated to her. Part of the Crescent Moon series this book can still be read as a standalone. It was a cute, cshort read that I would have been able to finish in one sitting had not been because life got in the way. Although it was short, there was still plenty of palpable chemistry between Erika and Hudson and the romance was still believable. Other than the initial miscommunication that was keeping them apart, and aside from some teenagers causing some trouble, there wasn’t really much of anything else; no real drama, no huge obstacles to overcome, no particularly emotional moments. Still, it was an entertaining read even if just to catch up with the series. I received this book at no cost to me and I volunteered to read it; this is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.

3.5stars-sexy, sassy & cute 3.5 stars--WOLF’S MATE is the seventh instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult CRESCENT MOON paranormal, romance novella series. This is wolf shifters Erica and Hudson Kendrick’s story line. WOLF’S MATE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Erica and Hudson) WOLF’S MATE follows the building relationship between wolf shifters Erica, and Hudson Kendrick. Erica has been traveling for close to a year, and her final destination brings her up close and personal with the Kendrick Pack of Montana. One month together with Hudson Kendrick, their second in command, has Erica thinking about a happily ever after but Hudson makes no attempt to claim our heroine as his mate. Upon her return home to the Kincaid Pack in Alabama, Erica discovers that she is pregnant with Hudson’s pups, and struggles with the possibility of raising them on her own. What ensues is the quick profession of love between our leading couple, as they must make a decision about their future. WOLF’S MATE is a very quick read; a sexy, sassy and cute story about two shifters, a lack of communication, and a happily ever after. The premise is imaginative; the romance is spicy; the characters are spirited and animated. Katie Reus continues to build upon her Crescent Moon series one entertaining shifter couple at a time.

Erica’s approaching the end of her roaming time away from her pack when she meets Hudson. Almost immediately attracted to each other, but with Erica being a guest who’s due to return home, they agree to have a fun, no-strings, short-term relationship. As Erica begins to fall for Hudson she considers a permanent move to his territory… if only he’d ask her to stay and mate with him. Hudson, second-in-command of his pack, wants Erica as his mate, but his old-fashioned thinking says to go slow with her. To Erica it seems he’s just not as committed so she returns home then discovers she’s pregnant. Determined to keep the child, but wanting to tell Hudson in person, she returns to his lands. For Hudson, it takes Erica leaving him to kick him into gear to figure out how he can get her back and convince her that they are mates. Wolf’s Mate is a sweet romantic read complete with a brief visit with the series’ Kincaid pack. *I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Hudson and Erica agree to a casual fling. A fling that Erica is now wishing was more. When it’s time for her to return to her home state, Hudson’s “stay a few more days” isn’t the proclamation of love she would like. A month later she’s returning to Hudson because things just got serious and she is forced to confront him, this time in person rather than phone, text or Skype. This is a very nice shifter novella that starts after this couple have been together. I loved how Hudson, from a different generation than Erica, was trying not to rush her but once she returned he wouldn’t let her leave. While Erica was pretty independent, I appreciated that she longed for that something more from Hudson. I never felt truly aggravated with him as the story wasn’t long enough to give me a chance to garner those emotions. Hudson is all alpha, all possessive, and all protective and this novella was long enough to highlight that fact. A fact that I love. There are secondary characters that support the hero and heroine and some that I would like to have more from. The steam is high as is the chemistry between these two. Overall, a very enjoyable read when you need something fast with a great alpha hero. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Book 7 in the Crescent Moon series, Wolf's Mate is a short, sweet novella featuring Hudson and Erica. After spending a month together in Montana, Erica goes home only to find out that she's pregnant. But she doesn't want to saddle Hudson with a family he doesn't want. What she doesn't know is that Hudson has regretted letting her leave without tying her down and mating with her. This was a sweet story with not a lot of drama. I found myself pretty much smiling throughout the book. There are some nice moments between Erica and Grant and Grant and his brother, Malcolm. If you're looking for something quick with a HEA, this one is for you. ARC received for honest review.

Book 7 in the Crescent Moon series brings us Erica and Hudson. Erica has been traveling and trying to find her place in the world. When she gets to Colorado she meets Hudson and begins what was supposed to be a no strings fling, never expecting to fall for him. She thinks Hudon just wants something casual. And because she is afraid of heartache, she goes home to her pack. Hudson didn't want to scare Erica, so he thought if he took things slow that she would understand how he felt and stay. Now he understands that he made a mistake in letting her think his feelings were casual. The only problem? Now he has to convince her she is his mate because he loves her and not because she is pregnant. This is a quick read that takes you back to the Crescent Moon series. I really like Erica and her how she isn't afraid to speak her mind. And the way she handles Hudson actually made me laugh in places. Because there is an age difference between them Hudson makes the mistake of thinking he shouldn't act the way his people have acted when they find their mate. And reading about their reactions to his statement about that made me laugh. Of course his brother made me crack up too! I can only hope this author keeps this series going as I happen to love it!

Wolf’s Mate is what I’d class as the perfect filler read and for what it lacks in storyline depth, it makes up for in instant attraction heat and character likeability. “If you run, I’ll chase you down.” Due to its short length there’s actually not a huge amount I can say—I read in one sitting, enjoyed all round and the fact I haven’t read the previous six novellas in the series was of no detriment. Another score for Katie Reus and I’m definitely going to check out the others in the series. “I’m ready for round two.”

Erica is visiting another wolf pack and meets Hudson. She loves him but he never asks her to be his mate so she leaves and goes back to Alabama. He is miserable without her but just won't commit. When Erica is back in Alabama, she realized that she is pregnant . She doesn't want him if it's just because she's pregnant. Will Hudson come to his senses and change his mind about her? Great story. Loved Erica. I received this book from Net Galley and KR Press, LLC for an honest review and no compensation otherwise.

Erica is a wolf shifter raised by the Kincaid pack when her parents died. She's been exploring the world for the past year trying to find purpose. On her last leg of her journey she lands in Montana and stays with the Kendrick pack. Hudson, the pack's second, and younger brother to the alpha Malcolm, picks her up at the airport. There is insta-chemistry between these two. Hudson is a short term lover and has no intention of settling down. They fall into an affair and spend the month together with really hot sex. Once she's gone they discover they really miss each other but Hudson never asked for a mate-claim. When she's home she discovers she doesn't really fit and that she's pregnant with twins. She returns to Montana to tell him, then choices have to be made. This is a surprise baby plot which is not my favorite but as always Katie writes a great story that read quickly and kept me engaged. Thank you Katie for the ARC of this story. This is my honest review.

Erica is a member of Grant' pack and she took a year off to travel a bit and ended up at a packs place in Montana. Falling for none other than the Alpha's brother and Beta Hudson. It was to be nothing but casual but oh yea we have heard that one before. Hudson is everything she could ever want in a mate, a man. He is loyal, honest, treats her well and is excellent in the sack. Erica heads back to her own pack but something doesn't sit right. Hudson realizes after his brother thrashes him a bit the mistakes he made and heads out hoping to win back his woman. I enjoyed this story. It flowed really well and the heat is off the charts. I would say it's a stand alone. Although personally, I have loved every single book in this series.

Wolf's Mate is a great story for readers that enjoy a good shifter romance. I expected the story to be a little longer than it was, because it a short read and I finished it quickly. With that being said it felt short but it was a steamy, exciting and entertaining read with a bit of suspense that leaves readers wanting more of this pack. I absolutely enjoyed Erica and Hudson, and I also enjoyed Hudson's relationship with his brother and alpha Malcolm. I can't say much without giving the story away but it was a great read with a happy ending that will leave paranormal readers with a smile on their face. I look forward to reading more books from this author in the future. Would I recommend it? Yes!

WOLF'S MATE By Katie Reus Wolf's Mate is the 7th addition to the Crescent Moon series and it is a welcome one! I really enjoyed the characters of Hudson and Erica. Erica visiting his pack. Since they have a tremendous amount of chemistry, their no obligation affair catches fire and has both of them secretly falling for the other and wanting to change the rules. She panics and runs back to her pack. Read the book to see how they work it out. Katie Reus has very fleshed out characters that makes you care about them. There is a solid story line with great flow.

A cute, quick read… This is the seventh novella in the Crescent Moon series that can be read as a stand-alone. After finishing college, Erica, a wolf-shifter from the Alabama Kincaid pack, traveled across the country for a year to see the sights and have some fun before settling down and hopefully open her own beauty salon. She’s young, around thirty years old and a member of the Alabama Kincaid pack, she was an only child and her parents are gone. Visiting Montana she meets a sexy, much older shifter that she connects with, after a month she realizes she’s fallen for him and heads home. What they had was casual and fun but she needs more, she’d like to stay with him but he hasn’t spoken of mating and she needs to protect her heart. The encounter produced a double surprise that she now has to deal with. How does she tell a shifter who once mentioned he doesn’t want kids that she’s having his twins? Unsure if he will he be receptive to her idea of co-parenting as non-mates she heads to Montana. As second-in-command to his brother in the Montana Kendrick pack, the wolf-shifter Hudson has numerous pack responsibilities but that didn’t stop him from having a relationship with the gorgeous, young shifter who visited recently. He’s over two hundred years old and being of an older generation didn’t want to scare her by pushing to mate and he’s come to regret that decision. He hasn’t been the same since she left. He finally headed her way to bring her back to find she’d already returned. Finding out she’s pregnant puts him in an all cave-man mode but he’ll have to convince her he wants to mate not because they’re expecting but because he really loves her. This story was cute, a quick read with no angst, just a generational gap induced misunderstanding that had to be worked through. There were some pack incidents to address, nothing too serious though annoying to the alpha who really enjoys the predicament his brother has gotten himself into. An advanced reading copy was obtained from the author.

Another great addition to this series. The story line is interesting as Erica and Hudson journey to find their happily ever after. There are bumps along the way but true love will win in the end. Great characters add to this wonderful story. Loved it. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book: all opinions expressed are my own.

What a wonderful addition to this series. Wolf's Mate is the story of Hudson, a powerful strong second in command wolf shifter, who finds his beautiful mate. Erica is a she wolf that is taking a vaction when she wonders into Montana. Erica was never planing to fall in love or stay with Hudson. What happens when she relizes her and Hudson are mates. Can a couple of headstrong people find the kind of love that its life long. How far will you go? Read this amazing story to find out what happens.

Wolf's Mate is a sweet and sexy story that proves once again that communication is the most important thing in a relationship. Erica wants more than just sex. She thinks that Hudson is old enough and alpha enough that if he wanted more he would tell her. When he doesn’t she leaves only to find out she is pregnant. She sure as hell doesn’t want him mating with her just because she is knocked up. Can these two get it straight? A fun romp that will leave you with a smile on your face.

This series of novellas is really enjoyable. You can read them as standalone so you aren't missing out if you hop into this one first. Normally I don't enjoy the reluctant hero very much but the author did a great job of showing us that he had no doubts when it came to Erica. Hudson is over a 100 years older than her and he thought with her being so much younger that he would scare her off if he got all possessive with her right away. He clearly showed he wanted her to stay. Unfortunately, Erica expected him to want to claim her right away so his hesitancy to do so sent her the wrong signals. This may sound like this is an angsty read, but it really isn't. I didn't worry over these two because their feelings for each other clearly translated on the pages. This is the kind of book I like to read if I want something quick, fun and that will satisfies my like for a jealous/possessive hero.
