Zombies need Love is a feel good story which shows a diff erent side to zombies which is cute and innocent. I feel children will be less likely to see these characters as something scary but more just something silly. The story is written in rhyme with an easy rhythm which makes for a light read that children will fi nd easy to follow and parents will fi nd easy to read.

About the Author

Hi my name is Amanda –Jean Stevenson, I am 26 years old and a single parent of a beautiful little boy called London. My son has ASD and I have found it so interesting watching him grow and learning of the unique ways he looks at the world. I’ve always read books to him but have found myself often changing the text as I read them to entice his imagination and to better express the emotions the character would be going through which others would pick up on easily but my son would not. Occasionally I would make stories up on the spot at bedtime and he loved that. At the age of 23 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and was stuck in bed with hours to kill and thought I’d get creative and start writing and illustrating little books for London. It became an activity we would do together daily. We wrote books and illustrated them the way we liked them. And then we would share them with other family members who were always left laughing at the silly little ideas that went through our heads. This inspired me to write and illustrate children’s books to share with others.
