Zone Rouge: A Bone-Chilling Collection of 18 Short Horror Stories

Wrong place, wrong time.

"Schaller’s skillful pacing and his ability to subvert expectations are excellent, making this a solid collection for those who enjoy stories that unnerve in fresh and unique ways, leaving us to ponder their implications long after we've finished. Very highly recommended."
—Jamie Michele for Readers' Favorite

Eighteen voices share their harrowing encounters with the uncanny, the grotesque, and the utterly inexplicable.

Stories of old gods and new nightmares, of the evil men do, and of the terrors lingering in the dark. A young woman's horrifying discovery in her roommate, a family's legacy of guarding a monstrous secret, a man's desperate flight from a ravenous beast—each story is a descent into fear, madness, and the realization that the world is far more terrifying than we ever imagined.

Journey into the darkness, but remember, these witnesses carry a burden you may not want to share.

About the Author

Alphonse Schaller was born in Southern California and raised in a house with a bookshelf in every room. A regular visitor to libraries, he fell in love with the horror and dread of H.P. Lovecraft and Jorge Luis Borges, as well as the sweeping fantasies of Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. He started writing in the third grade and has much improved since. Zone Rouge is his first collection of short stories. He is also known as Rowan Cullen.
