    Young boy in depression times

    Experience life through the eyes of a young boy growing up in rural America during the Great Depression. Travel on an inspirational journey in search of enlightenment. As you turn each page of this nostalgic collection of short stories, your mind's eye will vividly visualize the charming escapades of youth desperately seeking maturity. The author insightfully reveals the unabashed passion and euphoric excitement of Daniel Duncan as he transitions from boyhood to manhood. It's impossible to read this enchanting book without pausing periodically to refect on the tantalizing transgressions of your own youth. Its poignant passages will bring alive fond memories of your brother, father, uncle, friend, or possibly yourself. My favorite characters were the wise old Native American named Gray Eagle and two wild cayotew that caused one to re-evaluate the true intelligence of wild animals. In the tradition of Mark Twin and O'Henry, William Wayne Dicksion is a master storyteller, whose unique perceptions and charismatic writing style will most certainly ignite your imagination, while captivating your heart.
