Overview

A vampire puts the bite on a dental assistant.

It's a lousy first day on the job for Nina Blackman when a patient, loopy from the anesthesia, bites her. At least he was cute. But for real drama she can't beat the next evening. Nina wakes up with a set of razor-sharp fangs, bionic vision, supersonic hearing, and a taste for blood. But there's a good explanation: It's her patient, Long Island vampire Greg Statleon. Actually they're perfect for each other-if Nina's willing to commit to one man for eternity.

Following the recent conversion of her Buffalo friend Marty Andrews into THE ACCIDENTAL WEREWOLF, Hackensack dental assistant Nina Blackman knows there are some strange things out there. She just never expected someone¿s overbite to cause her a problem of sorts at the office. While prepping the patient Gregori ¿Greg¿ Statleon for dentist Dr. Berkenstein, under anesthesia he accidentally bit her and turned her into an undead. Marty and their third pal Wanda rush to Hackensack to help their friend fang face who thinks at least she does not have tail issues.-------------- She is his first (and he prays Last) conversion. He is chagrined and unable to take back his bite, but irate Nina¿s acerbic diatribe accompanied by her two friends leaves him feel as if ¿Snaggletooth¿ took two pints of blood from him. Greg swears he will mentor her on all things vampiric while her pals offer support. However, the dentist with suddenly large canines wants to revert back to human although she would not mind snacking on Greg.------------------ The sequel to amusing THE ACCIDENTAL WEREWOLF is an enjoyable humorous satire that takes a bite out of the vampire romance sub-genre. The story line is fast-paced from the moment the woman from the Bronx calls her recently changed Lycan friend to shuffle from Buffalo to Jersey as she now has a biting problem. Fans will appreciate the non stop hilarity as Nina rips skin with her tongue from everyone even while she and Greg fall in undead love.----------- Harriet Klausner

    Good idea, badly written

I tried to read this book twice but just couldn't get into it. The characters act like teenage brats and supposedly are friends but all they do is yell at each other. Was disappointed. I would give it away but the language is so bad that It is not appropriate for a teenager. Don't buy this book, go to the library if you are interested.

    Could Have Been Better

First of all, I have to say that I loved the first book - The Accidental Werewolf. Unfortunately, the writer copied her first story and gave it a new title. Because I'm a sucker for any paranormal romance, I still enjoyed the story. However, I would have appreciated a little creativity in the plot which might have resulted in a different book. Not to mention the character has some seriously outrageous character flaws, which I thought were a little over board. I hope the third book is a lot better.

    Funny and Sexy

I loved this book it was hilarious and sexy. The only negative thing I have to say about it, is that the main charcter is hilarious but also very very stubborn so after awhile you are like just give in woman! Other than that it is a great book and I am buying the others in the series!

    Annoying

Nina Blackman may just be one of the most annoying female characters in the history of fiction. She was enough to make me quit 80 pages in. She's irrational and whereas being a potty mouth might be vaguely charming, her lack of creativity and excessive rage just made her plain annoying. She never shuts up and yet manages not to say a single interesting thing. The dialogue in this book is silly, childish and desperately trying to be funny but fails. For far more pages than necessary, Nina and Marty compete for the title of who can be more annoying and they both win.

This book was an outragously funny novel that had me from page one until the end. The main character, Nina, is raunchy and her unique swear word combinations made me laugh out loud. Her two best friends: one a beauty consultant and the other a reluctant werewulf go to help her find out how to change things back. The vampire, Greg, is also adorable and he is easy to fall in love with. This book helped me to keep my mind off everything, and I can not wait to read her next book.

A delicious romp into paranormal love

I just plain loved this book and 'The Accidental Werewolf'!! You just can't read one without reading the other. Loved the banter with all the characters Nina with her friends and Nina with Greg. I thought there were places where she 'thought' a bit too much and it was kind of drawn out but all in all, a fantastic read. Can't wait til Wanda's story comes out...at least I hope it's coming!!!

Wish it had been better, a struggle to finish

It was a struggle to finish this book given the main character's constant foulmouthed trash talk and aggressive attitude. I couldn't relate to her in any way and found it unfathomable that such an insecure, angry person would have an eternally happy ending with a vampire hunk. This is at the bottom on the love/romance meter. The dialogue, which I believe the author meant to be witty, is just plain stupid. The words "yummy", "hookay", and "yanno", among MANY others, are used way to much, leaving the reader to believe that the author has a very limited vocabulary. The "heroine" comes off as ghetto trash given her limited ability to express herself with anything other than foul language and ridiculous words as those listed above. The writing is just plain juvenile, and the storyline is nonexistent. 100+ pages wasted on one argument: "heroine" needs blood but refuses she needs it, then admits she needs it, then refuses she needs it, buys it on the black market, goes into anaphylactic shock because it's the wrong type of blood (if only she could have died and ended the story here!!), all interspersed with her desire/hatred for her creator utilizing the ridiculous verbiage of an unintelligent pre-teen girl. I only wish this book had been better, I felt that Cassidy took her first book Accidental werewolf, mix up some characters and turned werewolf into vampire, and bam, whole new book.

    Very Funny! Highly Recommended!

I read this series out of sequence, but it was okay because the books do not talk too much about the past. I read the third book first. The first two being hard to find unless you order them- my need for instant gratification was squashed. They are worth it, really funny. If you are into the Mary Janice Davidson Elizabeth Taylor books, you'll like these. They're not quite as seamless, but they are pretty close. These books are really good one sitting reads- depending on how fast of a reader you are you can get this book read in an afternoon.

    Loved it!

I was already in love with the first one, but I just couldn't wait to get to know Nina and I wasn't disappointed. I couldn't put it down. I even took it to work with me, to read on the downtime. There is never downtime at a pediatric office, but I got in my paragraphs during lunch and breaks. I definitely recommend it to readers of the first book. I'm now on the third of the series and am super excited. If you can buy all the available books now, do it.

I loved this book I read them all Dakota is a great writer. Nina curses alot, her friends are a bit annoying and I LOVE GREG. I would read this book again. Oh by the way there is alot of hot scenes so i won't recommend you buy this book if your kid don't know anything about sex or you don't want them too. Wish there were from this series. Great book though.

    Same book new paranormal :(

well this book was a little disappointing, I had read the accidental werewolf and loved it so I was looking forward to this one. The problem is its the same book except instead of werewolf its vampires. It was the exact same formula for this book: girl get accidently bitten, in return falls in love with the one who bit them, the one who bites has to mate with an undesirable power hungry woman, girl who accidently got bit fights for her man and HEA (happily ever after). Overall it wasent a complet waste of time but I expected more.
