Alinora is a sweet, romantic story that's great if you're looking for a way to pass some time and escape from reality.
The story gives a good explanation of who the characters are, at least in this particular stage of their lives. Very little is mentioned about their past. It starts a little slow as it introduces the plot, but picks up the pace pretty quickly. I quickly came to like and care for Lily, and her struggle of dealing with the possibility of being crazy.
The primary locations of the story were well described, and offered a great mental picture for the scenes of the story to come to life. The 'dream world' was particularly clear for me.
The ending seemed a little rushed, but an explanation for this rushed sense was provided; however, I felt this explanation was just thrown in as an afterthought, and was more of an excuse than an explanation. The ending was also a bit abrupt, and the author could have taken it a little further.
All-in-a-all, I would say that Alinora is a great read for an afternoon or rainy day. It is best if you area fan of, have an open mind towards, the fantasy genre.

The story line and main characters/couple were well written, but only having a little over 100 pages on my nook, it didn't take long to finish. I would recommend if you just wanted a hours worth of reading and of course it was FREE.

The whole plot of this short story was fun to think about hours after the story had ended. Then the relationship between the main characters was the icing on the cake, it just made the story better. I would recommend this book to someone wanting to go away in to their own world for an hour or two.

There wasn't anything too graphic about the romance, and the story kept me emotionally connected with the character. When she thought she was crazy, I was wondering right along with her. :) All in all it was a lovely story. I would recomend this read for any time you have a few hours to just kick back and escape the "real world." Alinora is a place I could easily escape with Lilly (the main character) to any day. Great read; Great ending.

This was an interesting story, that was a bit unexpected. I felt like we got to know Lily, as a rather sad and isolated woman. She has spent her life focused on her business and career, leaving thoughts of family and settling down until she hits 35. Now her business has taken over her life until she has no life. Her dreams allow her an escape from a prison of her own creation. Caleb is a puzzle for me still. We never really get to know him. The authour touches breifly on who he is but it feels forced, like an afterthought. It was an entertaining short story. How much can you really delve into characters in 48 pages?

I actually stopped reading it like 10 pages in but decided that since it was only 48 total I would push through it. Now I wish I would have just deleted it. The whole concept of the plot is just messed up and so unrealistic. There isn't much development of the characters and it kind of jumps around. It has now been forever removed from my nook. I really just didn't ever want to have to look at the title again since I was such a pathetic waste of time. Even though it is free I wouldn't do it all over again.

I would have given it 1 star but didn't want to be that mean. It felt like the author just began the story in the middle and just headed straight for an ending. I was not impressed at all. Also once realizing the premise of the story, I was really done. Sorry but for me this was one I could've done without reading.

The writing was atrocious! The plot was thin and the characters were so poorly developed as to be transparent. Good thing this was free and short. It started out with a promising plot, but fell flat as the story progressed. Don't bother.

This story is well written and interesting. After some of the free down loads I was skeptical about this but it was actually a very good story with a thought provoking storyline. If you like sci-fi or fantasy then you will enjoy this story.

I really thought the characters could be more well developed though, their relationship didn't go as deep as I would like...even their dialogues were kept to a minimum which was kinda frustrating at times.
I could totally see this book transformed into a very successful romance novel though!
Oh, and the end was just icing on the cake! Adorable!

Reading this book was like discussing a romance with a girlfriend; hitting all the interesting parts but leaving out the every detail. The story could be developed into an interesting novel. I found myself thinking about the ancients and more of Lily's everyday life. Maybe that is what the author wanted. For us, the reader to take it where we needed it to go. Just like Alinora
Overall a fun light read that I did not expect to be thinking about the next day.

Although it had a slow start and it had a strong ending. Definitely leaves you with a smile with it's albiet cliche' ending.

I have to admit, I was a little put off when I realized the book was only 48 pages. However, as I started reading I really enjoied the authors descriptions of the places in so much detail. I love the story line and the thought of truly living your dreams in reality and on another level. I found myself wanting for more though, as if the book ended too soon. However there was closure. Overall it was a very enjoyable short story!

Not sure if I would read this book again but for one afternoon it was a good jaunt to another world.

I liked this short book. I wished there was more, but the idea was, I thought, creative. The writing started off a little choppy, but flowed better as the author went on. I'd recommend it for a quick read to jog the mind for a bit.

I loved this story. It is interesting and makes you think. It's a great romance story meets science fiction.
I would definantly recommend this book, especially because it's free.
It is complete, with a conclusion and everything; unlike alot of the free ebooks.

Overview
She had almost everything she ever wanted. Good friends, a nice house, a thriving career. The only thing missing was love. Until she started dreaming of a carefree romance every night. Her dreams were so vivid they made her doubt her sanity. Was too much time at the office forcing her stressed-out mind to create a retreat at night? Or were her dreams somehow... real?
