I feel as if the story was a bit rushed. The romantic part at least. I found it very unrealistic that two grown adults would be thinking and feeling so much towards each other so quickly. I stopped reading after a few chapters.

"Angel's Blessing" by Carol Marlene Smith is the story of one woman who in a way has lost her trust in men. Mentally abused by her first husband, Angel finally gets a divorce. Now she is off to start a new life in Nova Scotia, helping her Aunt May run her Bed and Breakfast. At seventy years of age, Angel wonders why her aunt starts a new business venture, but she soon learns that running the B&B is a lot simpler than dealing with one man, namely Jake. It has been twelve years since Angel has seen Jake and finds him as handsome as before. Now he is a widower with a four year old daughter. Can there be romance anew in Angel’s life or is Jake just leading her on just to use her. When Angel has to return home at the end of the summer to finish out her teaching contract, will what she has found with Jake and his daughter Rachel last or fall apart?
This was an interesting book that I would place in the short story category, long enough to make for an interesting read but so short that it can be read in an evening. I like the idea that Ms. Smith did not play out the parts between Angel and Jake as some seem to do and have them fall in love at first eye to eye glance. I really felt in tune with the characters especially Aunt may. There are always one or two characters that stand out in a book and for me it was her. I felt in places the book was lacking a little bit and seemed a little dull but that did not deter me from reading it. The main point of the story for me was all about learning to trust. I would consider this to be what some would call a sweet romance genre.

It's a fun read but has a few complications as well. The aunt and the little girl are charming.

Really good love story of trust and seconds on love. I can't wait to start the next romance.

Interesting in parts, some distracting misuse of words (or at least unusual usage). Not very believable.
