    Delightful little read!

There are two things you need to know about this book: 1) it is unashamedly Christian in it's content and convictions and 2) it is a fantasy romance -- and yes, they are VERY compatable. At the end of the book the author critiques her work honestly and says that it is very "romantic," which it is. It reads like a fairytale such as the type on which it is based -- it exemplifies the best aspects of human nature and rightfully focuses the praise on God. It portrays the characters relationships with God as opposed to their adherence to a religion. And then the author adds elves into the mix and things take an interesting turn! Anything more would be spoilers!!! The only major thing that I wish were different is this: the book is divided into sections. Each of these sections is easily a book in its own right with a complete beginning and ending to the story and one major cliffhanger. It would be nice if the author would expand each section into its own book and give more depth to some of the incidental characters. Overall, I enjoyed it!

    Creative

This is a very creative storyline. Christian in content and 715 pages. It is very easy to wrap oneself around the characters and visualize the descriptions portions. Medieval with a touch of fantasy.

    good

It is like an old medieval epic story, very long and descriptive adventure with elves and knights and praying.

    Enchanting

Admittedly Tolkien-inspired, this book is nevertheless an unique mixture of historical Christianity and fantasy.
