About the Author

Charles E. Wheaton, Ph.D., has dedicated his life and his work to serving others. This has been accomplished through more than 40 years of service in public school education and teaching at the university level. He received his Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University and has taught courses on this topic and also published several articles. In addition to professional service, he has served in his church, in community organizations, and as a volunteer in prison ministry, in orphanages, and in local politics. He currently lives in Central Washington State with his wife, Janet. He is the proud father of two children, Lisa and Mark, who have dedicated their lives to service to others, and they have blessed him with eight grandchildren.A quote from George Bernard Shaw clearly describes his life's purpose: "I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live."
