"What's a red-headed white girl doing out in this part of the world?""I don't know," Reb said, "but she's not long for this world if I don't mistake it.""What do you mean?" Josh demanded."I mean it looked like they was fixin' to do her in," Reb stated flatly. He shook his head, and his eyes narrowed, "They was puttin' some sticks around her feet. I think they're going to burn her up.""Well, we can't let that happen," Dave said.

Up-to-date review of a disappinting series.

I'm going to start off by saying that this series had only ONE good book-and that was its first one. From then on, the series just went downhill. (Also, I haven't seen a flame yet and can't BELIEVE one hasn't been written-so I'm glad to be the first one to do so) Almost everything is at fault here: from the annoying,one-dimensional characters, lack of development, and poor writing, to the fact that the author tends to forget details about his characters' appearances, and often changes them form book to book. Volka the giant went from being a fairly intelligent giant to a caveman, and the Gemini Twin girls and Hunters are forgotten as the Sleepers reunite with their friends. Ages also seem to skip around, as do Sarah and Josh's 'romance'. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. I've read all ten of the original series, so I should know.
