Overview

Summer is over and that can only mean one thing for eight-year-old Mallory McDonald (like the restaurant, but no relation)—she has to go back to school. But not just any school, a new school with all new kids in it. To make matters worse, her mom is going, too! She's the new music teacher, and Mallory can't think of anything that could possibly be worse—until her first day. She has to sit with Pamela, who always says the right thing and steals her ideas. Joey is so busy with his old friends that he has no time for her, and to top it off, she's picked to be an eggplant in the Fall Festival her mom is putting on. It's not fair! What can Mallory do? Should she give Pamela, and her new school, another chance?

My 9 year old daughter is a reluctant reader and we just found the Mallory series, all I can say to the author is, thank you, thank you, thank you for these books! Although my daughter hasn't read this particular book yet, she is reading Mallory on the Move right now and absolutely loves it, she cannot wait to get to the other books, she has already checked the library to see which other ones they have. Did I say thank you yet? I am so happy we've finally found something that she actually wants to read every day.

This book is about a littel girl named mallory and she just moved this summer to Wish pound road and she has to start a new school. then even worse she finds out her mom is going to be the music teacher at her new school. then when she gets to school she dosen't fit in with the girls there. Read the book to find out if she has a good school year or a bad one.

I was looking for a fun easy read chapter book. This was the one. My daughter can not wait for reading time and she never wants it to end. I am glad to see back to school mallory is going to be just as exciting. Thank you Laurie Friedman

I'm so happy that there is a part two to this book. My daughter read, 'mallory on the move' from front to back in three days, and she doesn't like reading. So i'm looking forward to getting her the new book. Please keep the books coming.

My 8 year old loves to read her books. Funny and great story line. Unable to put it down. Finishes it in one day then re-reads it again later on...
