Overview

Bedded by the Boss
Erotic Romance/Novella
Approximately 20,000 words

When Renee Guillot starts her new job with better pay and benefits, she thinks her only worry will be a lack of job security. Little does she know she will be working for the Devil Incarnate. Suddenly, she is tossed into a world of sexual coercion and dangerous temptation.

Robert Thibodeaux can't be bothered with the mundane details of hiring his own secretary. So when his new employee shows up for work, one look is enough to know it will never work out. Getting her out of his office and into his bed isn't an easy maneuver. But that's exactly what he wants, and it will only be a matter of time before he makes it happen.

Excerpt:

The next day was dark and rainy and Renee was sitting at her desk when the internal phone rang. She picked it up and Robert's voice barked down the line. "Get in here. I want to talk to you."
He disconnected and she was left hanging onto the phone.
Robert watched her slip into his office after a slight knock. She stood back and he looked his fill. Yeah, the game had definitely changed. Miles and miles of leg hit him. Short skirt. Tiny waist. Long hair.
It was time. It was past time.
"Shut the door."
Renee watched in fascination as his expression grew more menacing. His voice bit out at her. "I want you to quit your job."
Renee stiffened her spine and fought back with a simple word. "No."
His tactic changed immediately. "Come here."
She was horrified to feel a blush cover her face. She let out a tiny semi-hysterical laugh and shook her head. "No."
"Renee, come here, baby." He patted the shiny surface of his desk.
"No."
He stood up.
She stepped back.
He prowled across the room until he stood in front of her. He reached out and flipped the lock on the door.
Renee's nerves tightened at the sound of the bolt closing and she tried to control her breathing.
Her breath splintered when he reached out and pulled a lock of her hair into his hand. He twirled it around until his hand was fisted at her scalp. He leaned down and placed a single kiss to her lips. Her spine was flat against the door.
He lifted his mouth. "Say yes, Renee."
She shook her head. "No."
He ignored her. "This is a pretty little skirt, baby." His hand slid down and tightened around the hem. "Did you wear it for me?"
Renee stood in frozen excitement in Robert's hold. She swallowed a gasp as she felt his hand slowly drag her skirt up and bunch it around her upper thighs. She knew if she looked down, her panties would be showing.
Her eyes started to glaze and close. His fist tightened in her hair. "No, no, no. Keep them open for me."
Renee valiantly opened her eyes.
"That's good. You've got such pretty eyes. Now. We've got some negotiating to get through." He lowered his head and sucked her bottom lip into his mouth. Her eyes slid closed again.
Renee let out a small moan and felt wetness on her panties. She hung in his grasp while he sucked and licked her bottom lip.
He lifted his head. She opened her eyes and they fastened on his. "Good girl." His voice was deep. "Okay. You don't want to quit your job. I'm going to let you win that one for now. But you're going to have to give me something in return." She jerked in his arms. He controlled her movements. "Shh… Shh… I want some verification you understand where this is going."
She hung in silence in his restraining arms.
His voice became gravelly. "Nod your head if you understand."
Renee's head jerked up and down just once.
"Good. Of course, I get to choose the proof." His hand slid from the hem of her skirt to the feminine mound between her thighs. He cupped her heat through her panties. Her eyes closed as his mouth came down over hers.
Robert felt her softness all around him and thought his head was going to blow off. God, he'd wanted to screw her for so long. He needed to maintain control. But he had to touch her. Now.

Meet the Author

Lynda loves words, whether she's reading them or writing them. Having spent countless hours looking for the exact kind of hero (in print!) that fuels her fantasies, she decided to create him herself. She writes romance novels, novellas and short-stories, all with a dominating, alpha-male hero and a heroine he can't manage to walk away from. Her stories are sometimes shockingly hot and sensual, but are always monogamous and contain only one hero and one heroine. A happy ending is a must!

Lynda has lived her whole life in Texas and resides in Galveston County where she spends most of her free time gardening and transforming her tiny house on the water into a cottage fit for a queen. (or a romance novelist.)

Lynda has been married for twenty-five years to the man of her dreams and has two kids away at college.

    BRIEF SUMMARY
This is the third installment of the author's series called Louisiana Liaisons; it's about three divorced friends who decided to meet for a night together but all got detoured. Book1: Seduced by the American Millionaire , book2: Blackmailed Into Bed and book3: Bedded by the Boss. In Bedded by the Boss, Robert newly employs Renee. She leaves her job of 10 years to work for Robert because the pay is better to help with her daughter's college fund. Robert owns a construction company and is very attracted to Renee. He finds that he is unable to work with her and needs to find away to selfishly make her leave his employ. The book contains explicit sex and language.

    THOUGHTS
If you enjoyed Blackmailed into Bed, then you will really like Bedded by the Boss, it does not disappoint. I felt like I was reading a Harlequin Presents book gone wild in a good way. This read was definitely more aggressive with Robert's strong Alpha male character, and I still loved it. Robert was very sexy, demanding, and possessive; throughout the book Robert makes jealously looks so sexy. Renee surely held her own throughout the book even though Robert made her nervous at times. It was also nice to hear Renee talk and reconnect with Jenny. This read was definitely a tension builder leading up to Robert and Renee's intimacy. I also enjoyed their tennis match conversation on quitting and firing especially in one particular scene of the book. I personally enjoyed all 3 books and I am glad I read them. I also think James Cameron; the charmer should get his own story, which would definitely be another good read. James was a client of Robert that was also interested in Renee and drove Robert mad with jealously.

I really have no dislikes of the book, I only wish that both Renee and Robert said I love you to each other a little earlier on in the read, but that's fine I can live with that.

    Storyline: GOOD
    Intimacy: GOOD
    Enjoyment: GOOD

    So-so

    ## This bully, I mean hero, was a jerk. Alpha is great. Love it. But this was so beyond. They didn't even speak or get to know eachother before they got married. The heroine stammered every time they spoke. Don't bother with this one.

    Hot, Hot, Hot!

Loved Bedded by the Boss as much as the other two novellas in this series (Seduced by an American Millionaire and Blackmailed into Bed). As with the others, this story contains very hot dominating love scenes. The lust is primary and evident but Ms. Chance also shows the emotional side of the characters. Loved it! Keep them coming (pun intended)!

    Great read for the price

Read this within a few hours. Kept my interest. It did end abruptly out of nowhere but it was good enough to pass the time.

I thought this was another great read by this author. I liked the characters, the plot & the sex scenes were plenty hot. It was fun to see how in the end his secretary turned the tables on him! (Can't say more without ruining the ending!)

    GOOD READ

I enjoyed this book. However, it was not one of Lynda's better stories. There wasn't much of a storyline and it was only 162 pages long. So a very quick read. The sex is hot and the alpha male is very demanding as always. Lynda Chance never fails in that department.

I loved this sexy, intriguing story about a middle aged woman, who is till beautiful and desirable, finding love. The situation itself was filled with everyday concerns in the reality of a single parent. Ms. Chance does not disappoint with this hero. He is as smitten, determined and outright sexy as the others in this series.
