Surprisingly, I really enjoyed this short story (36 pages). I was impressed with the author's vivid imagery, i.e. describing something as simple as the water. I felt the story was unique and creative; an interesting tale of the "afterlife". After reading it, I don't quite understand the confusion of other reviewers.
I liked the authors style of writing. It may not suit everyone's fancy, though. I would recommend it. You only risk a very short amount of your time (no money) by reading it. And, who knows, maybe that few minutes will enlighten you or introduce you to a new author or genre.

This was agood short story, but I felt confused at evry other turn. Would probably be good if it was a whole book, but while I enjoyed it, I can not rate it better than decent.

The imagery was good, but the story was confusing and scattered.

The idea behind this story is neat but the author wasn't able to successfully deliver. Cool imagery aside, the plot is severely lacking in depth and explanation. It reads like a dream sequence - that is, scattered and disjointed with pretty colors.

okay short story, not one of his better ones, but still worth reading. A little too cluttered with strange rituals for the after life to suit my tastes.
