Overview

Three millennia have passed since the war of the breaking. A time of legends that nearly destroyed the world. Out of the chaos Mankind has struggled, and from the ashes of destruction civilization has once more returned to the land.

But unknown to man a forgotten evil stirs in the west, for generations it has worked its foul craft in the shadows. Growing stronger, no longer content to lurk in the darkness consumed by hatred and gnawing on its own ambitions. It has grown powerful and in its might it seeks to throw down what remains of the old world and destroy the petty kingdoms of man.

The last of the immortals has returned from his self-imposed exile. He has seen the danger and seeks a Talisman lost for three thousand years. Only the sword Aethir, forged by the immortals can save the world.

Old legends have come to life, and the age of man is on the brink of destruction. Now he must convince an outlaw and a fugitive to aid him in its recovery or all is lost.

    excellent read

I enjoyed this series. The story is unique and well written. The author has created an interesting plot with nice twists and in depth characters without adding volumes of descriptors. I found I couldn't put them down and was always surprised at the next event in this epic heroic adventure!

    Solid Read

It may only deserve 4 stars but I am giving it the fifth for keeping me up late. Not many books manage that these days. It is a genre book. Another thought it was predicable. Maybe. But, along the somewhat predictable path is a solid story with interesting character development. It is a genre story but I like the genre. It a rip snorter. OK, the kid falls on bad times, perseveres, and start to be something special. As long as the story flows with interesting characters; thank you sir, may I have another? Oh, the sequel is already out. Nevermind.

Over on that other site a reviewer panned the editing. OK, some small goof I caught; but if that stops your read, you've more serious problems. It is called self-publishing. The price won't keep you from supersizing lunch. I just can't see why people have this complaint for the occasional typo. Too anal for my views and wallet. This book isn't going to halt you in place over anything. The story flow and keeps up interest. The place he used found instead of fond didn't slow the enjoyment he was providing.
