**CAUTION SOME SPOILERS ARE HERE***
I loved Bloodrose--I really did. I thought the action was perfect, the events leading up to the battle scene were good...but the ending just killed me. No joke. It really did. First of all, I couldn't believe that that happened to Ren. I was enjoying the book, till I heard about what happened to him. I swear, I was numb for at least a week...I was way too shocked to finish the rest of the book. Only when I realized that I still had to finish it, did I go back and read the rest. What happened to Ren ruined it for me--it really did. And that's the reason why I only rated this book three stars. For some people, they might think that it's an unfair rating...but I was a die-hard Ren fan. Honestly. I felt cheated when I realized that Ren died. Why Cremer...why? To make it worse, the way that he was killed honestly was in the dumbest way possible. Broken neck? Leaping too high? I was expecting him to go out in glory. I felt cheated out of the ending, and cheated about the way that he left the book quickly. It was like he wasn't even a character at all. He left. Just. Like. That. And I honestly didn't see the big hype about Shay to be honest. It didn't help that he was sort of a jerk in the book, especially about Ren. I thought that he could've been a little bit more understanding, since Ren didn't have as much of a choice as Calla did. And it wasn't HIS fault that they were supposed to be joined together. It wasn't REN that was controlling Calla's every actions. I also sympathize with Ren mostly because he lost EVERYTHING. Or almost everything, besides his sister. His whole entire life was a lie. His only living parent died. His mom died in an ambush. He lost the girl that he loved...can you honestly hate him for wanting to win her over? Sure, the little fighting was a little obnoxious...but c'mon! And it wasn't fair to Adne that he had to die...she lost everything too.

Other than that, I thought that the little couples were adorable. I just knew that Connor had a thing for Adne since the beginning...and I was amused with his little bet with Calla. Sabine and Ethan are adorable...and I'm glad that they found each other. They're honestly perfect for each other.
I'm curious to see where Logan went...he just kinda disappeared too. Or maybe he just died as well? I don't know...the things with the Keepers still confused me. I also thought that the ending where they became the wolves again also was interesting, but I honestly would have preferred it if they were humans. I wonder if they can still share a mind connection though? Overall, Bloodrose was a good read. The action was amazing, but the romance just pissed me off. My biggest disappointment is Ren being gone...because I thought that that was just unfair, but other than that heartbreaking part in the book, (and many tissues later) I would recommend everyone to read this trilogy(:
