Spicy Hot Read
Elisa, a librarian on the planet Bor Narga and a virgin who has taken a vow of celibacy, is about to embark on an exciting adventure of self discovery. A discovery of unbelievable sexual ecstasy, of personal growth, of the meaning of devotion and of love. She will meet a Shareem who will change her and her life forever. That Shareem is Braden.
The Shareem were created to be the ultimate sex toys for the ruling women of Bor Narga. On this planet, the women are in control of everything and the general belief is that men are unintelligent and unnecessary for all but the most menial of tasks. The Shareem were created for the rare women who do wish to indulge in sex. Not even officially considered human, they have been bred to be super masculine and sexually irresistible. They are endowed with super-human size, sex drive and physical attributes but believed to be of lower intelligence and incapable of deep emotions, such as love. They are also rendered sterile.
There are three levels of Shareem: Level One was genetically engineered to be nurturing and gentle lovers. Level Two is about fun, sexual games and playful enjoyment. Level Three are the dominant, sexually overpowering, no nonsense masters in the bedroom. But underneath that is the overriding desire to impart care, protection and foster trust. Their ultimate goal is to teach a woman about her sexuality and those deeper attributes that can be developed through it. Braden is Level Three.
There is a good plot with excellent flow throughout the entire story. I was enchanted by Ms. James's ability to lend a magical and engaging charm to her characters and scenes. I also loved that the story is packed with exciting, exotic sex between raging hot women and 'super' men. The sizzling sexual heat in this story is dynamic and propels the plot forward in a compelling way. I found it hard to put this book down and enjoyed the clever weaving of the many layers in this tale into something I was pleased to find was deeper and more profound than it first seemed. I must also say that I had fun with this read and really appreciate the author's sense of humor and instinct in knowing how to give the story a lightness of heart.
This is a stand-alone story, but the sixth in the series. I now own every one of them and Allyson James has a new convert in me! If you too enjoy a fairy tale romance with above average and meaningful depth, then you won't go wrong in reading Braden.
