Overview

Sudoku Puzzles for Everyone, From Novices to Masters! At home, while commuting, during lunch hours...people around the world are eagerly working on Sudoku puzzles whenever and wherever they can!

Created in the United States, these intriguing conundrums were originally called Number Place puzzles. Their recent rise in popularity began in Japan, where the name translated as sudoku. Here we've indicated the skill level necessary to complete each sudoku book in this series in the same way Japanese karate levels are ranked: by different colored belts. This is the Brown Belt volume, a terrific choice for anyone who is ready for intermediate puzzles that are more difficult than might be expected.

It's impossible to complete only one sudoku at a time, because solving them is habit-forming!

    Not Challenging Enough

I agree with those who say that this book is too easy. I struggled through a black belt sudoku book and thought brown would be just right. I have done 19 puzzles so far and haven't been stuck once.

I love it. These puzzles are hard enough to challange but not too hard to complete.

This is one in a series, so you can start easy and work your way through harder and harder puzzles. This is the level I am at, for now.

Brown Belt Sudoku is Too Easy for Experienced Sudoku Players

This is a good Sudoku book for beginners or moderate level players. My husband has been solving Sudoku puzzles for the last few years and is challenged by the hardest, Friday-Sunday versions in our local paper. In the past, I got him a book that was extremely hard and he was frustrated. I figured that Brown Belt (second to most diffucult) should be about right for him. However, he solved them very quickly. I am not at his level but also found them easy. I would rate them similar to the Tuesday, Wednesday versions in the paper. I wish there was a more standard way to rate the books. Basically, this was a wasted purchase for us.
