David Sanders is a penniless poet struggling to hold onto his lowly teaching position in his university's English department. Michael Boughn has worked as a tree planter, a freight handler, a high speed press operator, a groundskeeper, a library cataloger, a typographer, a graphic designer, and a university teacher. He has published several books of poetry, including Iterations of the Diagonal, Dislocations in Crystal, 22 Skidoo/SubTractions, and Cosmographia, a post-Lucretian faux micro-epic; a young adult book on myth, Into the World of the Dead; and co-edited with Victor Coleman, Robert Duncan's The H.D.Book. He lives in Toronto with his wife, Elizabeth, and their children, Amelia and Sam, where he spends ungodly amounts of time in hockey arenas at the edge of civilization (as we know it).
