    Magical!

    A vibrant heroine, a dashing, sensual and vulnerable hero all in one - I couldn't have asked for more. Adventure, mystery, well-written and just enough suspense without driving you crazy. I loved it and will probably reread every year. More, please (but with new characters!)

    Loved it!

    Loved it! Lots of great adventure on dramatic cliffs, tons of excellent chemistry between Serena and Alex. If you like the classic fairy-tales with evil step-mothers, gallant heroes, and the tough-as-nails heroines who deal with it all and come out happy in the end, you'll love this story!

    A Great book!

    The pirate Redstone and the Earl of Savege are both Alex - Alex Savege. Alex Savege and Serena Carlyle have a chance encounter and are smitten with one another. But Serena finds out that Alex is betrothed to her younger sister Charity. Is Alex and Serena's love doomed?
    This is a book that I won at a pirate workshop at the RT Booklovers' Convention in 2011 in Los Angeles, and I was SO excited to have won it. This was the first book of Katherine Ashe's that I'd ever read, and I was impressed by the depth of the fictional world she's created. This book is exceptionally well-written and captivating.
    Also, there is something incredibly alluring about a noble whose alias is a pirate who attacks the ships of other nobles. I really like that Ashe created a different kind of heroine than the supermodel run-of-the-mill sort. With delightful plot twists and a strong, saucy heroine, this is one that will keep you up long into the night, unable to stop turning pages.
    Now, after reading this book, I want to be captured by a rogue lord too!

    A wonderful historical

    Twenty five years old Miss Serena Carlyle is okay with the knowledge that she is on the shelf. Her plan is to see her younger stepsister Charity marries the prefect man. She thinks their neighbor wealthy hunk Alex Savege is the right person; though a rogue he is an earl.

    However, Serena may not have chosen the earl if she knew about his secret life as Redstone the pirate raiding the yachts of the wealthy to help the poor. Still she asks Alex to help end ruthless smugglers from plundering the coast. He agrees, but she is unprepared for this pirate plundering her heart one kiss at a time.

    Although the theme of a pirate romance prate between aristocratic neighbors has been used before (see The Pirate Next Door by Jennifer Ashley), Katherine Ashe keeps it fresh due to the spinster's antics based on her premise he rejects that the earl is perfect for her stepsister. The story line is fast-paced from the moment the earl stepped into the room and never slows down as the lead couple duel with wit and love in Ms. Ashe's wonderful historical.

    CAPTURED BY A ROGUE LORD by Katherine Ashe is a delightful Regency Romance. "Rogues of the Sea,#2",but can be read as a stand alone.It is well written with depth and details. This delightful story of love,romance, sweet sensuality,the fulfillment of belonging,betrayal,redemption,wicked step mother,a father with no guts,sea battle,and happiness. The characters are rich,enduring,full of life,determination and love.While looking for the perfect match for her younger sister,spinster,Serena,finds instead the perfect match for herself.The handsome,sexy, dangerous Robin Hood of the sea,Captain and Lord Alex.Who is also weary of marriage,determined to help his twin brother overcome his disability,and revenge his for sister. One kiss from Alex and Serena will surrender to love,danger,and happiness and Alex will surrender to Serena and give up his seafaring ways if he has to for her love.A fast paced,page turning story.that will leave you wanting more. A must read.
